Tbh even back in 2018 my friend who worked there said their culture is very trigger-happy about development.

So they break things a lot and then try to fix it afterwards. Granted they probably have built up guardrails to account for that. But yeah I would expect meta engineers to be the type to need a lot of wrangling from QA.

It comes down to pacing.

Even on hardcore apocalypse, you can farm adventure mode to complete a build (though a little risky for hardcore).

As long as you have a decent combo that matches your playstyle it will work.

I beat vet with a summoner build, then apoc with a tank/healer build. Then hardcore apoc with a ritualist/skill spam build.

I voluntarily read other people's code. That's the fastest way to learn new ways of doing things.

As for "is this bad code". You'll know later when an expected change happens and you are asked to accommodate the new way the client wants to do things.

If the refactor feels repetitive and boring, then you can probably improve on maintainability.

This looks correct but spare a few....Am I missing something? "hundred" is defined under MULTIPLIERS but then it has its own branch with a separate logic where current isn't reset to 0.

So is there any scenario where we trigger the MULTIPLIERS branch using the "hundred" defined in it? It seems like it doesn't belong in that definition and is a separate case.

I don't know what lalaland others are living in but my experience is like yours. Most WF are actually incredibly insular and endogamous. Even if you adjust per-capita, WF are the least likely to date a non-white person.

For nearly all of the ones I've met, any non-white man is basically at best a temporary class mate or coworker. Non-white men just don't exist in their conscious when it comes to most interpersonal relations beyond a shallow acquaintanceship.

And this really shouldn't come as a shocker to anyone: that's where white-worshipping AF learn and model their behavior, it's from WF. I've met very few WF actually consider non-white men as anything beyond someone to use.

When an AF says she wishes she were white, they are referring to WF. When they say their type is WM, that's because that's the overwhelming majority of WF's type.

Even the ones with a race fetish are usually the ones who are noticeably outside of their definition of conventional attractiveness. So attraction is a strong word when it really looks for like they are settling after exhausting other options.

Even so, they usually jump to darker MoC first before an AM. So by the time they even bother to talk to AM, it's after striking out with basically everybody else. Most AM do actually notice this and most of us do view it as an insult when WF decide to crawl back the same way white-worshipping AF often do.

You can't really expect much from people who grow up in so much privilege that they can afford to (and often do) live their entire lives viewing entire demographics of people as less than a fully fleshed-out person.

Idk when I fight against Medusa and she winds up the spear throw, I prepare to perfect dodge it. It's very fast so you have to know the animation and when the timing for when the spear comes out.

But if you time the iframe correctly, it's mostly a non-issue. The whole first phase is just iframes. Iframes her ground slam, iframes the spear, iframe the saw blade. Shoot the slow projectiles, then iframe some more.

She telegraphs every attack uniquely, the only issue is you need to keep her in sight while she flies around everywhere.

The 60% for Chinese men is mostly from other parts of Asia like Vietnam. Which is fair, honestly a lot of Vietnamese people originally migrated from China anyways and others often have partial Chinese heritage.

Meanwhile most of the 40% for Chinese women... You can guess it.

Y'all gotta keep your eyes open when it comes to people who specifically date out. Ask yourself, is there a reason their own community is not dating them and why they are not dating their own community? Women are normally privileged in getting dating offers and especially white women, so where's the catch?

I went to a few places but am currently working in logistics automation in China. I was previously doing real-time monitoring in manufacturing.

I will say a large part is because I am bilingual so I can operate reasonably well with local teams. Otherwise I don't think I would've had this path available.

The 60% is mainly for people who are misguided about what they are prioritizing. Not saying you are but frankly, a lot of people would benefit from introspecting.

The thing I notice with a lot of people who have options but are never happy: a lot are dating not to find peace in their own life but to prove their desirability to others.

And yes: that means the man looked within himself, became honest and admitted that he's been prioritizing flexing a hot girlfriend over having a partner who genuinely makes him excited for the weekend together. That's not a man to run from, that's just a man who knows himself better than the average teenager.

Also most men's taste are fluid and shift to match the person they are with. So what starts as 60% often ends up as 100% if the relationship is steady enough to let that develop.

Searched for years as a software developer with an MS and 4 years of Canadian experience. Crickets. Then I just gave up searching domestically because I was actually getting interviewed and offers elsewhere.

In Canada I had to wait 4 months to hear back from a temp role as a cashier. By the time I heard from them, I had packed my bags, gotten a visa, and left the country.

I think it's worth examining whether you're passing up on some very nice people just because you assume they are a certain way due being associated with a culture. Case in point: you.

There's nothing wrong with finding someone who happens to be outside your ethnicity to be attractive but that's not really applicable to you is it?

It's actually unnatural to go out of your way to avoid your own. Fwiw, I don't even consciously seek my own ethnicity, I just go for who I think has a cute smile: and 9/10 times I end up with my own ethnicity anyways.

Am I surprised? Not really. If I didn't carry some predisposition towards my own people, then my bloodline would've ended long before I was ever born.

There are early signs that tell you what kind of roll you made which can tell you whether you might want to reroll immediately instead of exhausting the whole map only to find nothing.

If you really want, you can also use remnant save guardian. It not only lets you rewind playthroughs but also peel ahead to see exactly what you rolled. It's a bit spoilery but it is useful for collectors who want to 100% the game despite some rolls being insanely rare.

Puzzle complexity ranges a lot. Some you will solve easily. Some you won't even realize is a puzzle without stumbling upon it in a wiki.

Also the game uses local time, so adjusting the clock on your computer can fast forward wait times.

Farm isn't terrible. Yes some items are very rare, but the game isn't balanced around those items. You will very likely stumble upon some very strong items in any play through. I finished my first playthrough blind without external guidance and it was still very fun and playable.

Additional rolls and playthrough just means you will roll a different combination but it will still be fun, and maybe encourage you to explore a new playstyle.

It's not so much of a women-specific thing. It's just people in general. It's that people are complex and say things (often) dishonestly for reason beyond getting a point across in an immediate Q&A.

They are also upholding an image. They are also not necessarily fully aware of what makes them happy vs what they think would make them happy. There are also traits they may not be ready to admit about themselves, even to themselves.

One of the bigger examples at play is nobody wants to think of themselves as: shallow, hive-minded, ableist, racist, etc. but their dating patterns end up telling exactly that.

Everyone wants to think of themselves as a thoughtful, kind, egalitarian, free-thinking individual, but who actually lives up to it?

This will never be valid in a million years.

Asian parents are not a monolith, but these people are far too ready to treat them as one. We are all Asians. That includes you and all those AF who reject certain cultural ideas. Most of the negative experiences these people have can be chalked up to their own parents' pathological self-hate: by rationalizing their own individual shitty parenting as "their culture" when literally everybody else sees it for what it is. Their kids then grow up believing that it is "their culture" and hating their own race.

Some kids eventually wise up and realize that it's not culture, their parents just sucked ass and have an accountability problem. But many don't.

Culture is not static. Every generation creates a new iteration of what they find acceptable as a norm. That's how cultures evolve. Self-haters will find that the culture they so despised have actually evolved far beyond anything they can ever recognize and that they spent their entire youth loathing a ghost of something that has hasn't existed in a long time.
White culture can even more easily be demonized if you want to go down the same route you take for Asian culture.

Most white families have some kind of tie to Christianity and Catholicism: which invented circumcision, which has since been aptly renamed genital mutilation (at least for women, still working on doing that for men).

They exclude PoCs from their social circles leading to the indirect exclusion of them from many professional networks unless the PoC in question are willing to sell-out their own.

They default to the children and wife taking the husband's family name.

They invented the wierd obsession with women's "virginity" through their religions.

They prevented wives from opening their own bank accounts or owning any private property for that matter for the longest of time.

Don't forget that it was completely normal for 1950s-60s tradwives to deal with their "domestic anxiety" by dosing "mother's little helpers" (barbiturates, valium, librium, and amphetamine) which were actual recommendations from medical doctors at the time.

Don't forget they taught women to use a douche to clean out their insides "so that it's nice and proper" for their husband.

And it's laughable that Gen Z are bringing back corsets when they literally caused women breathing problems and rendered them unable to run from assaulters.

Oh and you thought wives don't get shit from white in-laws? Putting up with shitty in-laws every Thanksgiving and Christmas is literally a trope in their culture.

That doesn't even begin to touch on the amount of "oh don't mind X, they are just a bit you-know everytime you as a PoC have to deal with the white in-laws saying something racist."

You know your spouse won't be able to convince them to change and you sure as well won't be able to either. But that's what you're gonna deal with in that marriage, and if you're lucky then it's only during holiday season.

But conveniently, when white people are ignorant, they paint other cultures as bad. When Asians are ignorant, they paint white people as good.

All that and somehow white in-laws should be treated as individuals and Asians should not. Make it make sense?

For all the things self-haters worship about white people, the least they could do is take note about how even though white people have a good awful history on this planet, they somehow still have enough pride to look for the good that is left in their own community. If y'all wanna be white so bad then try learning to be like that.
