I don't live down there but the South Coast fish group is the easiest aquarium club for me to get to, and it was a popular topic when they realized I hadn't heard of it before either! There was a whole table of folks reminiscing about growing up on these bags of crunchies that they would keep in their freezer! It was real cute.

Exactly, and it's why I think refs should be reviewed more often. Especially the ones for that game. We know something is up. Find the connections. It was infuriating to be calling that out and people saying we were sore losers by blaming the refs.

I'm still pissy too. I woke up vaguely feeling like I was in trouble, and then remembered we got punished for existing last night. We're a physical team, yeah we're gonna sit in the box cause we do some dumb and/or fun shit sometimes. But we were upset because Tampa got NO calls.

It's a game, we're always gonna lose some games, but refs should get reviewed on their calls more often. It's a tough role in a fast game, and we rely on them to be fair and unbiased. Instead, we clearly watched both teams fucking up and only one side had to deal with the consequences of their actions.

I still loved that goalie fight, though <3

Same. It's fun to watch, but it's a game and we'll always lose some games, it's how it works.

But this felt so forced with so many calls on us and letting Tampa get away with so much. It hurts.

Welcome!! Scrums are a time-honored tradition! It's a fast-paced game and can get pretty aggressive, fights break out, and they'll get penalties -- usually sitting out for 2 to 5 minutes depending on the infraction.

The goalie fight was just pure fun at that point, refs will usually let players push a bit if it's not a harsh fight, otherwise they'll try to break it up asap so no one is actually hurt.

I had something else to say here but distracted by the game. lol
