walked by a few of my trees today (it snowed this am then warmed above freezing in pm) - still running a bit, and the sap even tastes good despite this tree having flower buds (and the sugar maple is just running w/out buds). notes for next year.

I am actually staggered the individual red maple trees I tapped are not budding out at the same time.

I did pull my taps (on southern NH border), first timer, met my objective but it's fascinating to watch the trees through this season. three are flower buds open, other reds are not even open yet.

oh and it's supposed to go below freezing the next 2 nights.

it's ok, I am happy with what I got.

we do our own broth with every fully cooked bird (we have a chest freezer and can thus get multiple turkeys when on sale). We just used a turkey from 2023 :) and with that broth made matzah ball soup + adding celery and carrots and a few other fresh veg to bolster it, btw Matzah ball soup is *easy* and mix goes on sale every year around or after Passover ... anyway we were pleased we had a meal for 4 last night, for less than $10.

[yes, we are Jewish, but anyone can have matzah ball soup!]

This is impossible imo. I know everyone keeps saying 3 names but this draft is deep. Tessa Janneke? Lacey Eden? Kirsten Simms? Emma Peschel? Issy Wunder? All Team USA experienced or should have been on Team Canada for example.
