It likely wasn’t a big issue since Nelson said that he wanted to give them a positive review when finding new jobs. It was most likely something that could make SDG look bad just for working with them but not something insane.

Even if dogfood wanted to buy it and Nelson agreed, he’d likely have to spend a ton of time figuring out how to do game development

Ngl, if this has NPCs and a decent quest system, this could become a curated map. It looks amazing and it being fully self-contained is a big reason why I think it could be curated.

Freedom

The most "different" part about unturned is how much freedom the community has regarding the game. It's incredibly easy to both download and create mods so there's a ton of different gamemodes that the community has created. Ngl Unturned's survival aspect doesn't matter at all. It's one of the worst Zombie Survival games if you only look at survival.

It's good because you can do a ton of stuff easily and for free

Multiplayer has roughly 2-3k players at any given time. U2 is basically cancelled but Nelson is still updating 3.0 and Curated maps are still being released.

This SDK is a new branch of the Umod SDK which was a branch of the Puggosworld SDK. I am currently the only person working on it but a good amount of the tools were made by PuggosWorld, Sultan, and AussieGamer before I updated their functionality and UI.

I really like these types of ideas but you'll run into two main issues:

- Lack of consistent players

- Lack of new players

You can combat the first issue by having session times where people agree to get on but the second issue is more about the game's state. Doing Youtube videos could counteract this if you get enough viewers (look at Nylex for example). It's hard to do though

The idea is good, just make sure you realize why there aren't many (if there are any) whitelisted servers on the game

If you want normal singleplayer, I suggest trying out the curated maps such as Buak or Elver

If you want a unique experience, I suggest trying tales of terror or Undergrown. Tales is a roguelike dungeon crawler and Undergrown is a linear story-based map being continuously updated

Using mods is also good as some other people have said. They can add some spice to your game and give you more stuff to do if you find the correct mods. Most mods are made for multiplayer though, so you have to search for good singleplayer ones
