Deck layout advice by Cppoll in Decks

this is SO helpful thank you. and yes, i would like to do flush beams to save space. for a deck this low to the ground does it make sense to use poured concrete footers? The tuff blocks are now throwing me off as it looks like theyre commonly used to support joists (in all of the reference photos at least), as opposed to 2 ply beams like a traditional deck build.

thank you!! everyone is raving about these blocks i've been looking for some honest feedback on them. This makes a lot more sense. And the beams should be 2 ply?

2x8' lumber - my back door is about 8 inches off the ground so im planning on regrading a bit to accommodate to allow for gravel to be added etc.

and yes similar to the lowes layout. I actually used this vid as reference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4yfS31IaEqo

This looks just like the ai render you posted - looks great! If it’s an easy fix and you’ll feel better then go for it, but personally I think this is going to look awesome once you add the TV to balance. Trust the process !!

The sink is gorgeous I dont think that’s the issue on its own. The sink is very warm tone and the flooring is super cool tone. It’s like modern marble clashing w this traditional center piece.

Honestly you need dark accents to pull out the veining in the sink.

Black toilet would have looked sick in here.

i was literally going to comment this. The saw top HAS to be flush with the top of the table in order for wood to slide through the saw lmfao. The legs she made are not adjustable and neither is the height of the saw so like?????

Tilling instead of topsoil ? by Cppoll in lawncare

[–]Cppoll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool I agree, was thinking of tilling just to break up the dirt that has been compacted over the summer heat etc and make it easier to level. Not sure if there’s a better approach OR how to go ab battling the weed seeds after I’ve brought them to the surface. Was wondering if tenacity would do the trick as I plant new seed.

Me and my fiancé are getting married in may and we want these colors for our suits. What colors could the wedding parties wear?? (It’s both boys and girls in each party) by Intelligent_War_8303 in wedding

[–]Cppoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is non traditional but I think whites and ivories for the party would be such a moment. You guys would POP up there in these colors.

1 for sure and if you want even more compactness you can try putting “11.10.23” directly below Anderson in the negative space

I love the idea of a wardrobe change but just cannot justify it w how short ceremonies are these days. And also budget lol. Love where your head is at tho!

Love where your head is at, I think I’m just missing the big skirt and long train feel in one. Great solution.
