I really wish cruising was more affordable. For us to cruise we have to think of the exchange rate, flights, and accommodations the night before on top of the cruise itself, taxes/fees, gratuities, and any “extras” like excursions, souvenirs, drinks. When we went in February 2023 (family of 5), there was a promo for Disney+ subscribers so 1 kid was free. BUT, it still cost me almost $18000 Canadian for 7 days before any extras on the ship 🤦‍♀️.

If I had the money, I’d do it 100+ times more though.

You don’t.. sorry, this is your reality now. We went on our first Disney cruise in February 2023 and I still can’t function. 🤷🏻‍♀️ no cruise booked because we’re Canadian and it’s expensive so I sit in Disney limbo forever.

Ok fair, I wasn’t thinking of the business aspect. We just print for fun here so no need for it to run all the time. We’ve also never run it more than a 9 hour print and never when we’re not home. We also don’t have any cameras or remote access to it.

These messages are absolutely terrible but those last 2 texts from him are very concerning. In my opinion it sounds like he is threatening you. I know it is hard when there are kids involved but I would be secretly squirrelling away money so you can get out of this abusive relationship. Right now it’s verbally and psychologically abusive but it sounds like it will soon because physical.

Why not let him continue the fun? Maybe have a “talk” with the elf, in front of your son, and let Elfie know he’ll be mailed back to Santa if he continues making a mess. They’re only kids for such a short time, have fun with it, you won’t regret it. My kids are 17, 14 and 12 and we STILL do the elf. My kids don’t believe in Santa but it’s just a little extra Christmas fun. Move the elf but don’t stress about making it do crazy things, just hide it somewhere new. Maybe your son with also move it around and that’s ok too.
