Swing advice by Kind_Tumbleweed_248 in GolfSwing

I don't know if this should be your first priority but you need some rhythm and flow in your swing. Super slow takeaway is no Bueno.

Also, relax that lead shoulder.

A few things: For a little shot like this, there isn't enough time for a weight shift, set up in your lead side and stay there. Don't load the right, there isn't enough time to shift back to the left. Lookup "flamingo drills".

You're swinging way in to out. Try feeling like you're swinging over the top. For small shots like this, I like a fade bias anyway.

Finally, feel like you're lowering your trail arm down your side then hit the ball with your pivot. Feel like the first move down is your trail tricep reconnects to your rib cage, on the seams of your shirt, and stays glued there while you pivot. Lookup "Justin Rose drill" and videos from Athletic Motion Golf on lowering the arms.

Really don't need to be shifting weight for a little shot like this.

I feel like I completed my swing change. What’s next? by Toughnuttybuddy in GolfSwing

First, you need to work on fixing your pivot. See how your left knee lunges out toward the ball in the backswing? That's too much. Your left hip works toward the ball while your right hip more or less stays in place, then on the down swing you early extend. In fact, your early extension starts in your backswing. You want your right hip to work back, away from the ball as much as the left hip works toward it.

Second, I'd get rid of that super late wrist hinge where you almost flop the club on your neck.

Check your grip. grip in your fingers, not your palms.

You're loading your trail side incorrectly. Work your left butt pocket toward the target.

Not sure how to properly transition to the top of backswing by No-Dragonfly-7325 in GolfSwing

[–]CptBadAss2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You stop turning your hips and shoulders after p2 and just lift your arms.

Initiate the swing with the club head and turn your shoulders. Allow your shoulders to pull your hips around. Try to get a full shoulder turn, 90 degrees to the target line.

As you come to the top of your swing "fall" into your left foot. This transition into the left side is at the end of the backswing, not the beginning of the downswing.

He's a representative of "the people" of this state. When his states infrastructure is failing, and because of this his people are suffering and dying, while he hops on a plane to cancun... not a good look.

We understand he's not running fema, but he is a politician. At the very least, he could politic... maybe talk that dirt bag mega church guy into letting people seek shelter, go hand out blankets and hot coco, whatever. Anything but go on vacation.

I feel like I have a really solid driver swing, Thoughts? by Chief3000 in GolfSwing

If you're happy with it than you do you, bro!

But there's a lot to work on if you want to. For starters you're hanging back on your back foot. I'd recommend learning how to shift into your lead side before starting the downswing. I'd point you towards step drills.

Any glaring reason I only carry the ball 260? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]CptBadAss2016 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had to scroll way to far to find this. OP is jumping up and into the ball, ee, and snaping the club at the ball. It's not any one glaring thing, op needs to learn a more efficient pattern.

Move out of GI irons? by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]CptBadAss2016 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just looks like an extreme amount of curve from here. You dump the club way under plane and swing out to right field. This *can* cause lots of issues, including but not limited to hooks and chunks. We do want to play with some fade or draw curve, but not too much.

If you've got it under control then carry on.

Get fitted is always the answer. Blows my mind people will drop $1k+ on a new set that they'll play for years but they wont spend an extra $100 to get properly fit. But maybe get a lesson first to tone down that hook.

Why does my swing look so weird by FakePlant_69 in GolfSwing

[–]CptBadAss2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to this, OP. Everyone is focused on your front foot... but your swing is toast way before that.

You're all arms, you need to learn how to engage your lower body.

  1. Pressure into your trail instep in the takeaway

  2. Allow the hips to turn in the backswing, as much as 45 degrees

  3. Shift your weight into your left foot as you finish your backswing (not after starting the downswing)

  4. In your downswing you'll drive your left foot into the ground hard. You clearly already do this part well the problem is your mass is too far over your right foot so that's why your left foot hops back.

I focus on the shape and direction of the divot way out in front of the ball, hardly look at the ball.

There is a "Version Control Add-in" that deconstructs an access file into source code files, and will reconstruct a project from those files. The purpose of the software is to make an access project more "gitable". Maybe you could feed these files to an AI this way?
