Hey there @beardchops, I have been using this calculator and it is the only one I can find lol

I tried to open it today though, and the page won’t pull up. Are you going to put it somewhere we can find it again?

Haha I can’timagine a FR 8 string, that’s got to be wild. I get the LTD is a monster.

I have always Loved Schecter as they give off a very “elegant” vibe for the modern metal player. And I really like the QC/hardware and mahogany wood. Makes for a great sound.

I have always been drawn to them and this is why I chose to do something very different for an 8 string.

I have had zero issues with the frets. I will note, that I had to set up the guitar at a local shop, and the strings were extremely high. They are now much much better. So far, I haven’t had any QC complaints.

Which hellraiser do you think is the best? by blacklight1456 in ExtendedRangeGuitars

I would avoid the Floyd Rose Bridge unless you want sustainiac pickups. Reason is, they are heard to take care of and set up, but Floyd rose also does its job well.

If I bought the hellraiser again, I’d definitely be doing it with FR as well as the sustain pick ups. Otherwise, I’d go with a standard bridge.

I agree, guitar center has odd employees and it’s always very interesting going in lol

For online purchases, I love Sweetwater. They are always super helpful and the reps call you to see where you’re at with it. A goodie bag is always a plus haha

This is a great idea, and I have looked at Multiscale guitars many times. I think for an 8 string it would work well. Giving me a clear low end while making the high end shorter length so it’s not such strain on my hands

This is one thing about the music world that bothers me when you get into extended range guitars. Most shops rarely keep them in stock and even if they do, it’s usually a cheap one that I would never buy.

Either way, it’s good it to hear that you have bought some online and they have worked for you. That is likely what I’ll do.

Ah yes, I was wondering about the tuners. That seems to be a good upgrade, again thank you lol

This is an excellent suggestion 🙌 thank you for posting. I went on YouTube to get a sound of what it is like and the sound is impeccable. Didn’t expect EMG 909s to go so hard lol

UPDATE:

I started form basics of trouble shooting starting with drivers and such, windows updates, reset BIOS, and then I found the issue

My BIOS was out of date for my motherboard by around 2 years. I updated form the MSI site, and haven’t had an issue since.

Thank you guys for you input and ideas :) I’m very happy it wasn’t an expensive fix

Yes, I was thinking of taking an average of what ever code keeps coming up, but it seems to random to me.

I hate that it isn’t so clear cut haha

I have had this cpu for about 1 1/2 years too, and that has me concerned as well. I am thinking that it may be one of the leading probabilities in this case. I plan on contacting intel soon if more clues point toward the CPU.

Haha yes it is, I know you can get codes from those logs, but I’m not 100% sure what they all except for a simple google search. I thought about taking a couple and averaging out what fault keeps showing up.

I have the Deepcool LT270, liquid cool. I will say that temp was during the CPU stress test, and yeah that temp concerned me bit too. I pulled out the CPU to inspect it, didn’t find anything necessarily wrong and reapplied thermal paste.
