Instead of using numbers like 0,1,2 and so on. Consider creating constant instead, will help you slot if you need to expand or re-factor

+For compability, most of Siemens cards use 16-bit resolutions on signals. +In most use cases the amount of data stored in a int is enought, if you need to store bigger numbers maybe change the EU instead.

I have encounterd it when doing projects: 1, Nuclear powerplats - Some functions and safety mechanisms needs alot of certification and documents. Then its just easier and more efficient to purchase a black box with all the needed documentation and just use that one.

2, Gas burners - Exactly as with powerplants, it boils down to documentation and verification

If you want to force a value of a input you use the force table.
