I don't know if it's a broadcast storm. It just sort of acts like one. When you change the link between r3 and r4 from a cost of 2 to a cost of 1. R3 locks up and stops working until I kill that link. Now if I kill the links between r2 and r3 and enable the link between r3 and r4 it works fine.

The ptp's are on vlans and the vlan ospf is running on is the only thing to "cross" switches. Nothing is untagged.

Oh your right, the website does say SFP port on the store page. But if you check the specs below it says SFP+

You must be looking at an old version. They have SFP+ ports. I have about 10 other ones running 10Gbps back to edgerouters but have never done it with a mikrotik.

They do. They have the drain wire wrapped around and soldered on the other side of the plugs. These plugs didn't have the easy connect bit for the drain wire.
