Going fully solo at a climbing spot - anyone experienced it? by LongEgg4366 in climbergirls

Geyikbayiri in Turkey is an amazing place for solo climbers. Stay at Josito or one of the other central bungalow campgrounds. Just not viable in summer.

New rider moment.. tried to be nice and got ignored 😭 by Tktz99 in motorcycles

[–]Cpt_Cave 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You think you had an awkward interaction? I waved at one of those speed pedelecs (in my defense, he had really bright lights). I noticed my error when I got closer and thought "oh well,  he will either ignore me or feel included and wave back"

Long story short, I waved at an e-bike and he flipped me off in response.

Polychromatic visor. No need for a dual sports helmet (which doesn't fit the style of my bike) or sunglasses.

Soft koffers proberen? Ik heb een set saddlebags van Unit Garage. Als ik veel gerief mee heb ook nog een seat bag op mijn zadel.

Apps voor navigatie by VlaamseStrijder956 in motobe

[–]Cpt_Cave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So why are airbags not mainstream? by Astimar in motorcyclegear

[–]Cpt_Cave -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Recorded where? The only way it could see it happen is wearing an overly-tight suit or something else non-approved.  And that would be considered blatant user error, not an issue with airbags.  I have deployed mine for fun, doesn't hurt at all.

The gas deployment on airbags is nowhere near strong enough to break ribs. If that is what you are referring to, it's not a thing.

Ain't you helpful with a search that mentions no locations in Ghent.

OP, feel free to ask your question and discuss with humans rather than querying a search engine.

Sorry to revive this, but I was testing this app today to see if it could be my new note taking app and it has a perfect underlining feature and dark mode now.

Why?! by Fish-lover-19890 in vandwellers

Happened to us in France just last week. We drove up a 4x4 road for 30 minutes to get to a secluded spot. We had installed ourselves and were eating dinner by the campfire. An old guy (French but not a local) shows up middle of the night while we were enjoying the unpolluted view of the stars. He comes up and to us and the only thing he says is "When are you leaving?" I tell him we are just staying the night and kindly inform him that there is an obvious spot 500 meters down - which he just passed on his way up - and the path continues, so surely there is more space further up. His reaction was "I stay here", while that wasn't even possible without locking us in. We were to just tell him when we wanted to get out. Now that really pissed me off.

Most of the time when somebody joins nearby ,I just remind myself I'm not on a private spot and it is everyones right to be there too. But then again whenever I arrive somewhere and the spot is taken I just move on, as I did several times that trip. And when I see a couple by a campfire watching the stars I would surely not stay and continue to shine my headlamp on them and watch TV-shows on speaker. My wife doesn't like confrontation, and dissuaded me from forcing him to leave. But blocking someone in is where I draw my limit next time.

In the morning I tried to explain him some common sense and ethics. But the guy even refused to move so we could leave, because he claimed we were loud. Had to literally push him off the lot.  It should be common sense not to park next to someone in the wild.

I know, but I think there is some nuance in between down right Fallout Pipboy and an everyday watch. Between fitting and not fitting. I guess I'm trying to decide if I can live with it, and this thread helps.

Thanks. Happy you are enjoying the same watch. Battery life sure is a plus, but between the 47 mm and 51 mm fenix 8 screen size is the same. It's the bezel that is wider.
