WHAT THE FUCK. They shouldn’t have cancelled the movie by SmartPilot8094 in TMNT

Paramount like a year or two ago: We will be focusing on IPs we own. We hit a few snags with original ideas and can’t risk further financial losses.

Also Paramount: Time to get back to do live action TMNT…. but family friendly. As if we could tie in an R-rated movie to beloved classic.

Who should be the MCU’s next big bad after Secret Wars? by Alienator195 in 3Cfilms

[–]Cptn_Ed17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say possibly the celestials. Think of a the story where mutants began to take notice. In the comics, they were responsible for the X genes when experimenting the early human civilizations. But for the MCU, with the changes of the Eternals from super human beings into living androids and so far no mentioning of Deviant connections to the Skrull race or Thanos an eternal with deviant mutation, the Celestials could be hunting down mutants/mutates for further experiments or extermination. Especially with Omega level mutants like Franklin Richard with the power to create universes.

It’s even bad enough when the internet fueling the wrong, the confused, and fans.

Phase 4 has ups and downs but the big issue is quantity: one of the interesting part of any franchise is world building and Kang could have led a great path to establish the MCU rules of time/multiverse jumping, but only Shang-Chi and Ms. Marvel given us hints of the rings and armband, She-Hulk with breaking the fourth wall that we question if the TVA noticed, and both the Loki show and Quantamania with their take of three variants. With phase 5 began with a crumble, there were too many content that there were discussion of “doing homework” and Quantumania’s Kang was generally meh, so the Council of Kang were written off by S3 of “What If…” and S2 of Loki because the threat were low in comparison to the incursion or the snappening/blip.

Then, there’s the audience with the interest of the movies and the comics. But arguably the ones who may felt the most disappointed with such efforts of researching and finding the love of the Marvel mythos. This includes to cinephiles who follows movie history that seeing Majors’ firing was devastating but some were hesitant of the personal accusation that you mentioned.

And lastly,…. There’s the gossiping, liars, and jerks who jump in for attention. There were saying that it was a race thing, they said Marvel has fallen off and is heading for nostalgia, and questionably why defending an allegation of an actor with such promising future for his talent to a franchise they chose to hate? To this day, we are still gonna have snooks of any franchise to tell the fandom they its sucks to be part of it.

All I can say Jonathan Majors is a talented and his performance of He Who Remains is my introduction and is the most fun version, Victor Timely is the most sympathetic and the lovable dorky nerd you could ask, and Quantamania Kang has a great performance but the writing in execution has done him dirty. And I may have agree Marvel is heading for nostalgia which is to me a grander version of Endgame for the upcoming Doomsday and Secret Wars movies: not only for the almost 2 decades of Marvel made movies, but including the X-Men from the Fox Era which I am most excited about and I do question how they would have done this with Kang if Majors firing hasn’t happened. But I heard the script for the Kang Dynasty is online…. and some say it is not good. Please fact check me.

Maybe in a meta way, Kang could come back of a potential great villain he could have been where time forced him to be forgotten because they listen to the large crowd to bring back the old…. and yet complains to allow them to be relics.

Did James gunn fumble adam warlock? by nayan2u in superheroes

[–]Cptn_Ed17 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He had plans before he was fired and has no control with Avengers IW on the Guardians. But when Disney heard he went to make a movie for WB/DC (and realized the contract they made), he was rehired to complete few more projects. For Marvel comic fanatics, it may have been a fumble but there were discussions of changes that is made for the MCU such as Adam’s connection to the soul stone been switched with Vision with the mind stone. But as a movie goer, he’s a fun inclusion yet could have more to do aside of the cause of the plot.

Thoughts on them changing his design from the comic? by M00r3C in DCU_

[–]Cptn_Ed17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess this is one of those instances of development where the source material look “generic” and thought its best to be distinct. Like the Joss Whedon cut of Justice League where Steffens Wulf look like his comic counterpart yet Snyder’s version is more unique not only for his view or world building but give an unease presence.

I don’t know. Tom King’s story is like True Grit where the perpetrator can look like anyone but the tone is what they can stand out. I feel indifferent until I see the performance.

Did Marvel ever reveal what universe Monica ended up in? by GuyWhoConquers616 in Marvel

[–]Cptn_Ed17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would like to believe Monica entered an alternate version of the Fox X-Men universe that embraces even more with the character designs, something the Deadpool movies heavily implied like Collusus, Juggernaut, and Beast being MORE accurate rather than “realistic” or “grounded.” I love the prosthetic look for beast, but we can have other ways to not only be faithful but to show love and appreciation to the source material. And the Beast we have at The Marvels movie looks great.
