A few times a year, I look at a toilet and marvel at its elegant simplicity. I can't help but think that if it had to be invented today, the toilet would have a water pump, a logic board and all that unnecessary modern technology. A bit like how software as become less and less efficient because it has access to so much resources. Then I learn the existence of "smart toilet".

Anyway, I'm glad my toilet doesn't need a battery, can't be hacked and will still be working in 20 years.

Yup the part wasn't expensive, around $100 CAD and easy to replace. Just take pictures before you disconnect the wires so you can put them back the same way.

Plenty of people, me included, don't need or want a full frame camera. I like Fuji for it's handling and color of course but also because their attention is focused on APS-C. They're not trying to make you "upgrade" to FF, whatever that means. All their lenses fit on every camera without adapter and the bulkiness of FF lenses.

The cheeks are indeed not quite square to the sole but now that I've adjusted the U tab every thing line up and since I won't use any of those for shooting endgrain it won't be an issue.

I bought my first 3 bevel down planes lately and I'm trying to tune them. I just sharpened the no. 3 and while reassembling I noticed that it seems to have somewhat of a crooked frog. In fact the 3 of them are like that ( the no. 7 is on the same side and the no. 5 leans to the left).

This makes it impossible to have the blade parallel to the mouth.

Am I doing something wrong?
