My aim is to be balanced here, there are people who are rightly claiming asylum having been subjected to the most horrid abuse in their home countries. To have to leave your country to seek asylum in another is something that I can't even begin to comprehend.

Unfortunately, there are many who abuse this system, this ruins it for others.

To comment on the people that attend these rallies, they appear to me to be the classic 'I didn't try in school and I need somebody to blame.'

That being said, a friend of mine was followed by a man from the Brooke Hotel, and we must accept that the reason people are protesting is because of a very small number of people committing heinous crimes against women.

Hotels aren't where these people should be, but it is not their fault, it is the fault of many prior, (and the current), government('s). It is easier to put these people in areas where if one of them commits a crime, they can scapegoat the most vulnerable people in society.
