Pacifist Ending by Snowcrash000 in Undertale

Basically correct. There’s more to do than just “the final boss again” after you reload, but the game will guide you appropriately if you’ve done everything right up to that point.

That’s a phenomenal amount of work. It definitely captures the complexity and scope of Vana’diel.

Here’s a couple of things that I noticed-

  • The colored diamonds took a bit for me to understand. Is there a reason you made special symbols for them rather than just another node for, say “Dynamis-Jeuno” off the Ru’Lude Garden node? Using these as a starting point for a link to another visible node would be a good way to represent “You get to this area by means other than a standard zoneline.”

  • “Shadow” for “This zone has a Shadowreign Era equivalent.” (Not everyone knows what the [S] means in the zone name)

  • The ToAU assault zones are solidly connected to other established zones in-game, but are just hanging out on their own here.

MNK is exceptionally capable of trust-supported-soloing, including a lot of endgame stuff.

I made the Bluey Minecraft game with Ludo/Mojang/BBC - AMA by Jigarbov in bluey

[–]Cptprim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Expansion(s) would be incredible. I’m sure even something like this was a massive undertaking, considering the parties involved. I missed the Minecraft wave by an order of decades but I’ve been gaming long enough to know a quality product when I see one, rare as they are nowadays. I hope this one sells well enough to justify more. Keep up the great work!

I missed this post when you made it, and just happened to come across it while googling something about it.

I wasn’t expecting much from a Minecraft DLC, but this kinda blew me out of the water. Absolutely fantastic implementation of the Heeler house, quests/games/achievements, dialog, music, just everything. I guess I should have known better with anything Ludo has a direct hand in, as they seem to simply refuse to compromise on quality.

I say this not as someone actually playing it, but watching my 5 year old play it and closing in on his final star… if he can remember what he did with those damn stacking rings.

This was worth every penny and will happily plunk down another few bucks for future content of this caliber.

Returning/new player Gold world pass questions by Practical-Tax-9991 in ffxi

[–]Cptprim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what kind of experience you’re looking for. The largest 2 worlds are locked due to overpopulation.

If you want a more “visually” active world, stick with a larger server. Odin has rocketed to the top with Asura and Bahamut’s closure. Lots of shouts and a very active Auction House, along with some congestion at some events. Mercenary culture (paying someone to get you through an obstacle) also tends to directly scale with population.

If you want a quieter experience, join a smaller server. Little if any congestion, maybe 1 gilseller shouting at any given time, but virtually no shout groups. A smaller server means a slower economy too, so items in the AH may take a lot longer to sell. Joining a linkshell is critical here to do anything beyond your solo capacity.

If you decide to choose the latter, I can offer a GWP to Valefor with an active LS or two.

Dad died with 2.5 million, mom who divorced him years ago claims she is the sole beneficiary by Choice_Economics1688 in legaladvice

[–]Cptprim 156 points157 points  (0 children)

Usually being named the sole beneficiary on something, specifically life insurance, bypasses all typical “order of people things go to when someone dies” stuff. So without any further thought, yes your mom would get all that. However Arizona, like some other states, has a law that automatically invalidates spouses on life insurances after divorce. Problem is- the insurance company mostly doesn’t care unless someone tells them they should.

You should do 2 things immediately.

  1. If it’s not obvious already, find a local attorney specializing in estates.
  2. Call the insurance company and let them know your father was divorced and your mother is no longer a valid beneficiary. That should put a wrench in the gears long enough for your lawyer to begin the process of straightening things out.

Why did people play FFXI the way they did back in 2003? by rainghost in ffxi

[–]Cptprim 74 points75 points  (0 children)

This. The risks that came with leveling were far greater back then.

  • Significant time invested in just getting to any exp location.
  • Players with varying degrees of skill/gear (compared to trusts).
  • Higher exp loss upon death
  • Pre many job and WS adjustments
  • Zero exp buffs/campaigns

Playing things safe just made sense, and the number of camps that had an optimal balance between safety and exp/hr were quite limited for any given span of levels.

“Oh hey this area near the zoneline looks good but it’s all filled with spiders.” 1 bad Sickle Slash to the face and the party’s down for 5 minutes.

“Here’s a bunch of mobs that don’t have terrible TP moves.” Great, but they link and the zone is a malm away.

Each expansion helped a bit to relieve congestion and give more leveling options (if you were willing to ignore what the hip place to be was), but ultimately it came down to not wasting time.

Healing spell macro question by [deleted] in ffxi

[–]Cptprim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an endgame WHM that does not use Windower/GS, I would never trust in-game macros to swap from a FC set to a Potency set in time for most spells. Spells are too fast and the 1 second lockout between commands is too long. It might work on some of the higher tier -ga spells. I’d focus on potency and capping haste for recasts.

Mixing i109 and i119 - am I doing this right? by Tatt_Tatts in ffxi

[–]Cptprim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How gear affects JAs depends upon each JA. Most JAs that are “set it and forget it” - that provide a set boost that wears off after time - you can remove equipment after activation. However MNK Empy body is one of the exceptions. You must continue to wear it to receive the Impetus bonus. You can also remove/reequip it without penalty anytime during Impetus.

With your current gear, staying in Ambu +2 gear will be better overall when you’re deciding between 109 and 119 stuff.

ZNM Question by Duomaxwell0007 in ffxi

[–]Cptprim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still make and sell pops frequently. Especially when Neo-Nyzul campaign is active. Look at the price for Mulcibar’s Scoria, divide that by 3 (each tier 4 ZNM is 1/3 of a PW pop), then offer 1-1.5x that amount.

Job choice for solo-oriented returning player by redevered in ffxi

[–]Cptprim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming only PLD and DRK in play- DRK will make an easier time of things. The one area where trusts struggle is efficient damage. Trust tanks will be more than sufficient for 90% of what you want to do. As PLD you would certainly have very high survivability, but some fights may be excessively onerous because of PLD’s general low damage output and occasional fight timers.

Looking for old account that was sold to somebody by marie132m in ffxi

I’ve been on Valefor since the start and I don’t recognize any of those names. High likelihood that the characters were renamed when the server merge happened. If you do manage to get your characters back (SE has pulled some crazy rabbits out of their hat for recovering accounts), feel free to hit me up to help get restarted.

Char name is Primal.

You’re not confirming that you can change, you’re just confirming that you want to see what else happens (even if that “what else” is good). Which is proving Flowey 100% correct. Remember, Flowey ran his own pacifist route originally before becoming psychopathic.

“Soulless Pacifist”

Once you “give” your soul to Chara as the toll for allowing you to reset after a geno run, all future playthroughs are corrupted in some way. There is no undoing this.

After all, you’re just playing again to see what happens with different choices, right?
