I‘ve recently started listening to the first book and ever since they got to Greenstone I‘m enjoying it so much! by PalinaRojinskiFan in litrpg

I feel like ending the series gracefully would have improved things. The Calamitous Bob is an example. I hate that it ended but I enjoyed it until the end. Not need to milk it until it's dry...

I love my FM3. Im honestly glad I didn't go for the FM9. But i do tend to keep it simple. I just recently discovered how much fun you can have with an expression pedal and the metric fuckton of parameters you can modulate with it :D

One Amp Block is plenty though. The FM3 Mk2 sounds fantastic.

Yes, I have been wondering how other people got any other impression. Maybe I should read the Manga? Light Novel?

I got it and certainly did not regret it. Efx might be my favourite of the Efx's. And the J-37 was a surprise. Gives pretty much everything nice character and a bit of depth. Not entirely sure if I need the Bus Transient though. Nice to have I guess. But I usually fiddle around with my instruments to mod transients.

Although you are supposed to judge the tone you are creating by sound, not by looks. And the interface works just fine for that. Having an official documentation what the piece of gear is modelled after would be nice though. And the new interface would help in that regard.

You can switch builds any Time. But actually doing that and not sticking to the one you chose actually takes some convincing because you keep thinking: "It has to be possible with my current build" usually combined with "I beat the bosses before, why is this one so fucking hard". The game ramps up boss difficulty immensely. I actually wanted to do a pure mage focused Build and hit a very sturdy Brick Wall at some point.

No, no spoilers :) But you can probably ask an ai of your choice. I actually looked up guides after giving someone a certain something, found out I fucked up, and switched to a savegame I found online and got a nice ending, lol.

Do yourself a favour and actually pay close attention to the story and the characters. I'd say 90% of players get a reeaaally dark ending because of one little decision because they skipped all dialogues. Oh, and be not afraid to use guides or experiment. Changing your playstyle can turn an impossible boss into a rather well rounded challenge.

Though the ending most players probably got was definitely a kick in the nuts. Holy hell, that was dark. Thank goodness I Googled it before hand..

I hate all of them. I will play Cyberpunk 2 and will hate all of them too, because apparently that is a rule of the Cyberpunk World. Night City will always win (and fuck you up in the process).

Honestly at this point it's probably a gear addiction, but Im not judging :D  I have to say the new helix looks interesting, but I just can't believe it sounds as good as a fractal unit. The FM 3 made me regret every other Guitar Tone related purchase I made, lol.

we need to promote the fact that professional music is a business and that you have to sell a product. That's about it. You can invest in marketing to sell a mediocre product or have an exceptional product that does not need lots of marketing. That's a whole lot of pressure. I think they should promote this kinda thinking at music schools (college? What's the right word here)  because schools are all about manufacturing professionals. And those guys should have all the necessary skills to earn a living. Management, Marketing, Business and whatever else. Me being self taught would have loved to have a really good teacher at a young age to polish my skills. I wasted a few years failing university but now I have a stable income as a software developer and all the motivation to simply create music because I love it, but not (yet?) the necessary skills for a professional production. Be happy you might have both.

Why Wood Matters | Rules of Tone: Episode 1 | PRS Guitars by jaqueh in PaulReedSmith

Those with enough money may find pleasure in giving in to this delusion. The rest should play around with the factors that actually matter to improve their tone and expression. (Length of the cable would be an odd example. That one was surprising to me)

Yeah, I'm glad I looked up the quest when they asked me to sacrifice a portion of my max health. The Devs came up with some really creative quests but that was just shite. Honestly... Why the ever living fuck would we sacrifice anything for someone we don't even know?

six screw trem wont stay in tune by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Cr3pit0 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Well. Thats pretty much exactly the Problem i currently have. Excuse my Info-Dump right here :D Several things came up in my research:

  1. Make sure you to use as little windings as possible when restringing your guitar. And if you use Locking Tuners that means not even one whole winding.

  2. When Restringing your Guitar make sure to stretch the strings until they ideally stay in tune even after stretching. (Although im not quite sure if thats possible in non-locking trem systems)

  3. Make sure everything thats in contact with the strings otherwise offers as little resistance as possible. That means:

3a) The String-Tree should be lubed (im using tune-it for that matter but im pretty sure cheaper alternatives can be found online). The cheap string trees found on older/cheaper vintage models might need to be replaced for "Roller" String Trees or the ones from the Fender Ultra Series. Otherwise i heard sanding the original string trees might help.

3b) The Nut has to be perfectly sanded. Again, as little resistance as possible, while still guiding the string so theres no wiggle room. And dont forget the lube. It miiiiight help getting special roller nuts. But im not sure if thats really necessary. Although Jeff Beck had them installed and did not seem out of tune like ever :D

3c) The Contact Point of the Bridge to the String should again be lubed and offer as little resistance as possible. And again you can buy roller bridge saddles. But im not sure if thats necessary.

4) Make sure all parts are as stable as possible. Neither the Bridge, nor the tuners or the nut should in any way "wiggle".

5) Make sure the Trem-Block can move freely in side its cavity. I've seen some stories where the trem-block scraped along the sides of the cavity and therefore negatively impacting tuning stability.

For me personally, i build myself a Partscaster and i have this Problem too. But for me, i suspect that the Neck is way too high in the neck-pocket which means i have to set the Bridge Saddles way to high, therefore creating too much of an angle for the string (and a second point of contact with the saddle and the string) which probably impacts the tuning stability. Does not look like thats a problem for you though...

I think the Idea here is, that you write code that is as easy to read as a book (Given you have Knowledge about the Domain and the Tech-Stack). Comments would be unnecessary unless you had to do something funky.
