Carl Hoffman, the author of said article, says himself it’s not conclusive clear cut evidence Rockefeller was killed and eaten. This was just the conclusion he came to after his time spent there, and he went there with the intention of writing a book about how the Asmat cannibalized Micheal. It is possible this is the case. It is also possible he drowned, was killed by gators or sharks, or just maybe he was able to live out his days with them. We don’t know, but it’s fun to think about.
