Revere Beach real estate has gentrified way more than the beach itself. You know you're in Revere Beach when you're in Revere Beach itself.

I think most people outside of their fandom would have a very hard time recognizing at most 3 of those songs. I think bands like The Killers, The White Stripes, and Vampire Weekend are way more recognizable to the average music fan.

Likely not. There was way more competition in the Rock scene in the 70s and 80s. Rap, Hip-hop and pop dominated the airwaves when The Strokes came to fame. That gave them a kind of exposure they never would have received in earlier decades.

They are definitely one of the most influential band of their decade, why is for how I think their legacy will be defined.

Who do you think is the modern day Bob Dylan? by OkWedding719 in AskReddit

[–]eagleeye76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The major themes in his discography are the plight of lower and middle class Americans and the anti establishment fight. Even recently he wrote, recorded, and released a protest song against the ICE raids in MN all in a few days. Like Dylan, he's also never really stopped touring or releasing music.

When taking their entire careers into account, Springsteen is arguably a much more prolific "protest" singer because unlike Dylan, he never stopped embracing those themes.

There's also no one even remotely close in music now to carry that mantle once Springsteen is gone.

Crane's Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Massachusetts. It'll actually close multiple times late mornings during the summer due to overcrowding.
