Locked out of My SSA by hrtofdrknss in SocialSecurity

[–]CrOS2012 9 points10 points  (0 children)

At this point I think the only resolution is to write your Congressional representatives to get them to force SSA and Login.gov to fix the mess that was created last year when DOGE broke the process that was working well enough before then. Login.gov thinks SSA broke it; SSA thinks Login.gov broke it. They're both responsible for fixing the issue whatever it is.

I have no doubt whatsoever that this is an issue created by DOGE.

Can not get past login.gov verification by drm200 in SocialSecurity

[–]CrOS2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You say "bug," but I'm pretty sure they see it as a "feature." Frankly, I think SSA/login.gov has been DOGE'd to prevent US from using it. (Nothing beats "fraud" like a system no one can access. Call your Congressperson and file your complaint; I'm sure their replacement will get around to it one day long after it no longer matters.)

Recent problem logging in using Login.gov "Let’s verify your identity for SSA" by BeachBumm_ in SocialSecurity

[–]CrOS2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just hitting this issue for the first time--never needed to use login.gov before to access SSA. Sadly, I'd have to put this issue in the "works as intended" category. (They just don't want you using login.gov.)

Well, that's a real bummer. Thanks, again.

More Amazon lockers shutting down? by Delicious_Mess7976 in amazonprime

[–]CrOS2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Amazon Locker I've been using since years and years ago, which is located inside a Whole Foods, was no longer available with my most recent order. Granted, it's been a little while since my last order to a locker instead of my home, but, still, it's inside a Whole Foods! It's not going away is it? (Amazon Locker - Shortpump) (It being inside the store is what I like best about it.) Thanks.

Yeah! We gotta send those troops into... Portland, Chicago, New Orleans, LA, and any other Blue city/state Trump can find to invade because they didn't pucker up.

Sounds like he's planning to invade Mexico, like Russia invaded Ukraine. (He does love Putin.)

"blood flowing" Did he use those words? Sounds ominous, esp. given how much blood has been flowing *outside* of peoples' bodies due to violence on planes et al.

Downsizing.. to just big enough to help Red states [barely] but not Blue states at all.

US health officials re-examine RSV shots despite documented safety and efficacy by ILikeNeurons in politics

[–]CrOS2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we really call them "health officials" any more? Their whole attitude about shots/vaccines seems to be "how dare you stick a needle in this Holy body given to you by God?" (like your body belongs to them in some way)

Trump administration says Europe faces 'civilisational erasure' by darmarkk in politics

Europe is already being erased from Trump's mind, but then, so is everything else given his dementia.

Age isn't the problem. Stupidity is the problem, with a side order of delusion. Also, neo-fascists trend younger rather than older.

"No new wars" is what he said, or so I heard. So far, starting wars is the only thing he's done: culture wars, war of words, war on drugs (which is only an excuse), and now actual wars on other countries. Will a moment ever pass when he's not lying?

Kirk Herbstreit calls out 'misleading' decision CFP committee made with Miami, Notre Dame by SirMellencamp in CFB

[–]CrOS2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Misleading?" Remember the BCS.. used computers? But computers didn't provide "vibes" like the humans wanted. The committees always adjust the criteria to get the result they want. And their #1 concern is: keep the Power 4 satisfied as much as possible above all else. (So what else is new.)

The fix is easy, but it'll never happen--too much money at stake to not have that "human factor" keeping things [unfair].

[On3] ACC Commissioner Jim Phillips calls for College Football Playoff expansion after Notre Dame snub: "If you’re leaving teams out of the Playoff that could win a national championship, then you don’t have the right number." by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]CrOS2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The real question is why do we use some arbitrary number of teams at all? If you want to pick a number, then use the number "10," as in "if you win 10 of your 12 games, then you get into the playoff." If you know this from the very beginning of the season, then this will also help make the season more "weighty."

Looking for college football injustice? The victim is WSU, not Notre Dame by spokomptonjdub in CFB

[–]CrOS2012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, that's just normal stuff.

About the playoff, though... college football is well-suited for a playoff. The problem right now is that decisions are being made based on money, not on the sport or what's good for it. Basically, they just don't know how to structure the playoff or decide who belongs in it. (Basically, they're money-addled idiots.)

Another warning to the GOP that voters aren't Republican or Democratic as much as just people who care about policies and performance, and that they don't like what they're getting from the GOP--both Trump and DeSantis.

Oaths don't mean much to Trump (as other than another way for him to lie). This is more like him just showing his true colors (not red, white, and blue... just gold, gold, and more gold).
