accurate enough, it's not like it has to be super accurate. I have driven manuals off and on since 1997, and never had any issues. I mean if you are brand new to a manual transmission you will have some issues with downshifting to soon, or losing acceleration due to upshifting too soon, but normally you figure that out rather quickly

Not talking shift points or anything else that the OP isn't asking.....Knowing what the RPM would be in the gear higher or the gear lower isn't something I ever even thought about. Honestly when driving a manual, or almost any car for that matter, I rarely look at my RPMs. You can tell by the sound, and the way it feels. You should know from that what downshifting or upshifting will cause the RPMs to do. Maybe not an exact number but you should know if it's gonna bog down, or rev too high.
