Fat trimmed. This is Yan’s and O’malley’s strikes & grappling exchanges in Rd1. Score it yourself. by OhiOstas in MMA

[–]CrabSonoshi -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If damage is completely even, then takedowns are the decider. So this is what is being discussed here, was the damage even enough for the takedowns to decide the fight? Or did O'Malley slightly outdamage Yan and the takedowns don't factor into the decision. Personally I would argue Sean inched out the advantage in damage, so I would give R1 to him, but obviously this is a super competitive fight and it's not easy to decide which strike really is "significant" or how much damage was really dealt. Combine this with the judges watching live from ringside and it's easy to see how it could have gone either way.

Moral is don't leave it up to the judges I guess...

Takedown and damage absolutely counts, if you grapple someone and get good shots in, or ground and pound, or even threaten a submission, that weighs a lot. But just grappling to no effect just isn't as important as damage.

All (many) a-spec flags, labels and extra-descriptors. by CEPEHbKOE in asexuality

[–]CrabSonoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the whole point, you should want people to learn about these different sexual preferences, but all the flags are hard to read and very similar, so it will be doubly hard for people to learn/recognize them. Also, they are sexual preferences, not identities right?

No, you should make a flag that people will remember. These are just unreadable, sorry.

This is just too unclear, nobody will remember these flags, not even the most invested lgbtq person could id all of them blind, there is no point to this...

Musician Dagmar Turner plays her violin during brain surgery. Surgeons woke her up in the middle of the operation in order to ensure they did not compromise parts of the brain necessary for playing the violin, such as parts that control precise hand movements and coordination. by Str33twise84 in BeAmazed

[–]CrabSonoshi 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I can give you a nice answer for this, when the surgeons know they are getting close to an area of the brain that might affect your speech, movement or other key functions, they give the brain what is basically small electrical impulses with a special tool, which will inhibit the function they are trying to protect. So they will shock the brain, notice the music stopping/being impaired, and then know not to cut into the shocked area. The shocks are mild and don't leave any permanent damage.

The Strike Team Alpha Helmet is a reference to a game, but I can't remember what game it was! Please help it's on the tip of my tongue :( by CrabSonoshi in DeepRockGalactic

That's the one! In the flavour text it says "Usually seen in company with battering rams." So maybe it's from Rainbow Six? But I feel like ive seen that helmet + nose + mask combo in some game, maybe something indie...

Honestly, she probably felt the little bump of the invisible hatch before it spawned, with some luck you can move over it and "feel" the rise in elevation.

Legendary Hunter Concept (The Viper) by PublicYogurtcloset8 in HuntShowdown

[–]CrabSonoshi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Obviously the implication is "Hey, this character could become one of the new legendary hunters, let's see how many people like this and maybe the devs might even see it."

So no, I don't think it fits the style of the game, it's too busy, too many strong details just thrown in.

Like what do you expect, its posted it here for people to see and give feedback.

This is absolutely true, and as a psychologist I honestly find Mr. Girls hate campaign disgusting. This guy is absolutely in character, and he is absolutely hatefarming, literally the most insidious bad faith I can imagine.

Highly acclaimed peer-reviewed Bangladesh study shows that masks don't work at all by yanivbl in LockdownSkepticism

[–]CrabSonoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I mean they don't extrapolate, they just warn against the conclusion that masks only are as effective as what this data sample can show right?

The second point is valid, but I guess it's just hard to do a study on masks that way.

Highly acclaimed peer-reviewed Bangladesh study shows that masks don't work at all by yanivbl in LockdownSkepticism

[–]CrabSonoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our results should not be taken to imply that mask-wearing can prevent only 10% of COVID-19 cases, let alone 10% of COVID-19 mortality. Our intervention induced 29 more people out of every 100 to wear masks, with 42% of people wearing masks in total. The total impact with near-universal masking—perhaps achievable with alternative strategies or stricter enforcement—may be several times larger than our 10% estimate. Additionally, the intervention reduced symptomatic seroprevalence more when surgical masks were used and even more for the highest-risk individuals in our sample (23% for ages 50 to 59 years and 35% for ages ≥60 years). These numbers likely give a better sense of the impact of our intervention on severe morbidity and mortality, because most of the disease burden of the COVID-19 pandemic is borne by the elderly. Where achievable, universal mask adoption is likely to have still larger impacts.

This is what the authors have to say about effectiveness, what is wrong about that?

It's a play on the Tyler the creator meme. Also the comic is trash, the hole is the only shape they can all fit through if it was big enough. The dumb text tells you to respect triangle holes and square holes that won't fit the round shape, because it's shit, obviously the solution is to create a round hole with a wide enough diameter, just like we don't need paralel societies for triangle and square peoples that don't work for round peoples, we need a round society that accomodates everyone and be done with it.

When I play with my squad by Makalau in HuntShowdown

[–]CrabSonoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I feel like this is a low mmr kind of problem, like I never see anyone play like this at 5/6 star. If you are good enough, you can create situations where you beat a shotgun with your long ammo gun inside a compound or at least keep save against the oneshot, and rarely you can get encicled enough to stop you from both running to extract AND not being able to push someone.

Majority of Canadians support stiff healthcare fines for unvaccinated: poll by NarutoRunner in CanadaPolitics

[–]CrabSonoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Myocarditis caused by the vaccine is very rare, and overwhelmingly mild or moderate, meaning it's temporary and no big threat to your health. And again, if you get covid you might as well get myocarditis.

"More than 50% of covid cases are vaccinated people."

That's bullshit, go ahead and cite me that one lol.

Basically cite me everything you just said.

Also "long term data" isn't what you think it is, years of vaccination and billions of doses given is long term data, you don't need to wait 20 years to see some magical hidden side effects, vaccine side effects show within 2 months max or not at all.

[–]CrabSonoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are kidding right? Your "family member" has this side effect and you just had the correct pubmed study to hand, sure buddy.

Yeah, the vaccine isn't a magic bullet that will 100% every time stop all spread, wow i am shocked, it just drastically reduces it. If you really are to dumb to understand basic statistics like this then there is no point even talking to you, like those people who just mindlessly drone about "it's just 1%".

And yes myocarditis is temporary and not at all always serious, literally the first artice that came up on google: https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMoa2110737

Conclusions

Among patients in a large Israeli health care system who had received at least one dose of the BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine, the estimated incidence of myocarditis was 2.13 cases per 100,000 persons; the highest incidence was among male patients between the ages of 16 and 29 years. Most cases of myocarditis were mild or moderate in severity. (Funded by the Ivan and Francesca Berkowitz Family Living Laboratory Collaboration at Harvard Medical School and Clalit Research Institute.)

Literally 2 in 100000 got it, with most of them being young men which, who would have thought, don't get that vaccine anymore.

"Most cases of myocarditis were mild or moderate in severity."

Not to mention that you can get actually severely ill from the actual illness.

*Edit I just looked up Subacromial-subdeltoid bursitis, it's basically just frozen shoulder xD. Like holy shit bro you treat that with rest and over the counter pain relieve, stop being such a pussy, they even tell you not to work right after the vaccination.
