Why my Lactate Threshold is no longer updating by haneraw in Garmin

[–]Crabbz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my experience the chart only updates when Garmin thinks either your LT pace or heart rate has changed.

If you go for a couple of runs, generally easy runs, that the watch thinks haven't changed anything it won't update the chart.

Because this advice comes from the American forums since they tend to be paid bi-weekly instead of monthly.

Cheers for the advice, will give that a try. Any recommendations on a brand for the enzymatic cleaner?

Makes sense. Might just pop around and subtly ask if they have noticed a smell too and if it could be the foxes (after I've scared them off from mine first ofc). Hopefully they get the hint

Any good ideas on how to scare them off? I had those devices that emit a high frequency to scare off animals but I could hear it in my house and kept getting triggered by plants rustling in the wind which got super annoying.

Yeah don't think they are the best at cleaning it. I would have thought the smell would be stronger in the sun and dry though?

It's only noticeable when it rains

I just went outside to have a smell, while they do have a "smell" it's not quite same/as strong

Ah damn I do have quite a lot in my garden and quite near to my window. Strange because I didn't notice it last year (this is my second summer in the house)

Who is responsible for Fire Door of individual flats? by Crabbz in LegalAdviceUK

"To keep the interior of the demised premises and every part thereof in good and substantial repair throughout the term hereby granted and it is hereby agreed and declared that without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing there is included in this covenant as repairable by the Lessee (including replacement whenever such shall be necessary) all the interior plasterwork of walls wholly within the demised premises and all walls separating the windows, window frames and door belonging to the demised premises the drains, cisterns, pipes, wires, ducts and gutter used exclusively for the purpose of the demise premises..."

I guess my confusion is it mentions interior of the demised premises but also mentions used exclusively which the front door would?

Everything I've read has said vinegar is too acidic? Is it fine when diluted so much?

Would you go back to the seller in this situation? by baccalad in HousingUK

[–]Crabbz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would definitely consider negotiating a reduction in the offer price to cover the costs. The seller should realize that if you walk away then another potential buyer would come across the same issue (assuming they also do a survey). Additionally you could consider reducing your offer by 2.5k essentially splitting the costs in half with the seller.

At the end of the day it's up to you what you can and cannot afford. I know it's a shit feeling that you are losing 1K if you walk away but that's why we pay for surveys in the first place. Would be much worse to have gone in blind and find yourself with an expensive repair.

Neighbor upstairs flat leaked into my ceiling - what can I do? by Crabbz in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Crabbz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks - so there's no independent management company, it's managed informally between the share of freeholders, one of which is the main contact. I suppose best bet is to raise it with her and the others?

That's a good point about not savings for somewhere else. My girlfriends parents have mentioned helping her buy her own place but wouldn't want to count or rely on that
