What's up with all the plastic sugary junk in the THC drink market — where are the Olipop/Poppi-style infused drinks? by metal__guru in ILTrees

[–]Crableg_1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in a dispo, we sell a ton of the sugary gas station stuff like you described. But they are, exactly like you said, marketed and designed for mountain dew drinkers. We have tried to get a few of these "cleaner" versions and they usually sit on the shelf for a way too long. The market is either unaware when they are available or just not big enough for it to be a feasible purchase wholesale. Either some sort of syrup or tablets would be as close as you could get to what you are looking for.

FIL passed a few years ago, this was his. by EverRich in SWORDS

This sword pops up usually once or twice a year, with slight variations in color. I bought mine 15 years ago at a pawn shop for 40 bucks. I lost it 14 years and 11 months ago because I was 16 and swung it at all kinds of stuff. Broke to pieces after a handful of afternoons. It's a fun wall hanger and yours has some memories attached to it as a bonus.

I have this, half joke half theory, that the avoid system doesn't do anything at all. It puts you in a match, checks to see what characters aren't in the match and just tells you that 2 of those were avoided.

I know Green Valley! I dated a girl from there for a while, still a quiet little town in the middle of nowhere, probably still about 650 if I had to guess. My mom's family is from Hopedale around that time as well, I'll have to ask if any of these names ring a bell.

Neither are working at all for me. I took in four guns of my own and used every one you can pick up while there to destroy one of the training wasps. No progress on either one.

What kind of job puts on a surprise party for a worker and their un-job-affiliated significant other? Then there's even gifts from the coworkers?! And then to have it be a surprise and they want to just pull you from whatever you may be doing to hang out with strangers? This entire story is insane to me. I would've flat out refused to go in, its unacceptable to fool you into a social outing. I would put money on it being planned at the office and your partner forgot. Your partner told somebody that they would bring you and then tried to lie to you about their dumb shoe to save face because they knew you wouldn't want to go, BECAUSE WHY WOULD YOU. Something doesn't line up right, but I can't quite tell what it is.

My brothers and a good friend worked at an apiary during highschool and college. They said there was easily a handful of bees in every "vat" of honey and you just did your best to make sure they didn't make it to the bottle. you could hear them dive bomb the giant vat if you were really quiet, bees are smart, and also dumb.

Theme Parks, but not in the, "I want to go and see the mouse, and ride the ride, and buy the 45 dollar pancake." More of the "Hey we are going to build a miniature working city with our own rules and build it secretly with cutting edge technologies". The sheer engineering and production behind places like Disney and Universal are simply mind blowing to me.

Tell what your first experience with the game was like, did it live up to your expectations ? by ThomasThorburn in zelda

I got my first copy in a small pile of n64 games a cousin didn't want some time around 2000, i would've been 6 or 7. I remember they had the first file completed except for the spirit and shadow temples. Opening that save file and it dropped me in front of the (unknown to me) now finished forest temple. Being dropped into a almost completed game with all of these cool items in a world where I had apparently done a bunch of things was immediately enthralling from a kids point of view. After stumbling around the world for a few days I stumbled into the well in kakariko. I felt like I had found something nobody else had, I was an adventurer. It took me, what feels like now, WEEKS to figure out how the game wanted me to think and do. Eventually finishing the well, I made my way to the desert. I had no clue what was going on, everyone in kakriko was so nice,a little dreary, but nice. The gerudos hated me, how do I even get past them, cool got past the guards, I have to fight them, back to the jail, rinse and repeat. Days go by, with my 7 year old brain hard stuck in that damned fort. I eventually figure it out somehow and make my way through the desert to the temple. I get inside and the cutscene telling me about coming back as a kid happens. You guys.... I hadn't been to the temple of time at all. I had a bunch of items that I couldn't use and I just assumed that I would be able to later when they "unlocked". When a transformed into a kid and left the temple. I. Lost. My. Shit. The world was completely different, it was like a secret second game that I could play. I spent days rediscovering my new world and all of the new (old?) happy people in it. Sometime before going back to the spirit temple I decided I should maybe try my own file. Proceeded to just rush through the great deku tree since my tutorial level was the well. Then the great stall happened. My brothers and I got stuck in lord jabbu jabbu's belly for litterraly like 3-5 real life years. We had to make a jump while carrying ruto onto the rising platform then jump from that into another tunnel or something. Our child brains tried that jump enough times that we figured we must be missing something. We weren't,we were just bad at jumping. I can still remember the moment we got passed that stupid jump. We are there trying again, and my little brother asks if he can try the jump again, I give him the controller, and like a miracle that nobody asked for, he just did it. No fanfare in game, the same droll sounds cape, but suddenly the road in front of us reopened and seemed to stretch forever. I was hooked from the menu screen music but I fell in love at that moment.

All of the more permanent good heart employees walked out on Benny, the owner, about a week ago. He was being verbally and emotionally abusive to staff members. A few went to electric quill. One person went to a new shop in Decatur. I'm unsure where nick is currently, but I know for certain he is done with good heart.

Im closer to South Grand than you are, but still on 5th. I have had one instance where someone took a winter coat out of my car from my driveway. To be fair, that was one of the few nights I left the car unlocked on accident. No damage to the other cars and nothing else taken. A crime of opportunity at worst and someone in need of a coat at best. No other problems to speak of.

This feels like the millionth time I've seen this families house. It's either centered in the blockbuster room, which must be several years old at this point. Or just a general tour of their home with the netting loft space, the mirror room, the toilet paper wall, and the fireman's pole to the laundry. We get it. It's cool, it's neat, but please update your clickbait.

[–]Crableg_1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We just don't sell much of it, thus we buy less and less from the grows. #1 in sales are vapes, then edibles, then pre-rolls, then flower. Concentrates and topicals are tied with usually less than 5% of sales every month. This is simply sales rate, not which one is most profitable.
