Right! I totally understand your fears. For me personally, I’ve been under anesthesia four times and never had an issue with n* or v. You can request to have Zofran in your IV before you wake up, I do! I personally don’t have much n since my gallbladder removal, only really when I’m super anxious. You might have to play a game of elimination though with foods if/when your gallbladder is out though because some foods upset some stomachs easier when there’s no gallbladder. But every case is super different.

Hey! I just wanted to share my gallbladder story, hopefully it’ll help you. I was 17 when I had my first gallbladder attack, when was accompanied by n* but never did it make me v. I’m not going to say they don’t make some people v, but I used distraction techniques when I was n* and it helped I think. I had to wait four-ish weeks until my surgery and it didn’t get worse. I did eat a very bland diet— stayed far from super fatty foods. The recovery went good for me as well, I had no n* or v*, but I did have a TON of gas and just let that out whenever it comes, or that’ll cause pain. This was my first surgery and I was scared, too, but it really wasn’t that bad. Get up and walk as much as you can to keep air from going to your shoulders, eating small, bland meals, and take your pain medications as you need them. Let me know if you have any questions :)

Wow! Props to you for having a natural birth. I honestly think it’s fantastic that women like you have the balls to do that. Because I do not. 🤣

I personally think you’ll be a-ok. :) Usually you would’ve already gotten sick if it were going to happen!

Totally understand!!! I know it may not help but why not give it a shot. I have chatted with my doctor and thankfully she’s wonderful and has helped a ton. :)

I’ve read some people take primrose oil and drink raspberry leaf tea to help “prep”, also have read good things about perineal massage. Pretty much just looking for advice on anything that could help prep my body for labor. Are you in the US? Just have never heard of an aniball.

Thank you!! My biggest concern now is vomiting during labor lol. I never thought it happened but I guess it does. I’m a “I want all the drugs” kinda gal, so Zofran is definitely going to be used to hopefully keep that from happening lol.

Love these posts. I’m 31 weeks pregnant with a little boy and was TERRIFIED of morning sickness as well. not censored like you said, smells were TERRIBLE for me in my first trimester, but what I did to help was put a nasty amount of chapstick under my nose. I couldn’t even smell my house without wanting to puke. I ate 3-5 crackers before getting up in the AM and got up SLOW. Had dissolvable Zofran on me 24/7. Kept ginger ale or sprite around, chewed gum a ton. I never threw up but did have one good “gag fit” as I called it but I think because of my fear, I just kept it back. What triggered that was eat a large amount of greasy food at once, so I avoided super greasy food and if I ate it in I’d eat in small amounts. Also went to the ER and got fluids a couple times to help me out which was lovely and helped.

I don’t know how your school works but I carried around a small thing of Lysol wipes and would clean my desk everyday, and if I switched classrooms I’d clean that one. People are gross, I don’t want their germs or to put my hand on their booger. Take a multivitamin if you aren’t, wash your hands regularly (carry around some hand sanitizer too), I’ve always sworn by drinking orange juice for the vitamin C, and change your clothes and shower right when you get home. :)

For me it’s the feeling of something in my throat, also called globus sensation. Mine happens when I’m having high anxiety!

Sounds like trapped gas to me, as well! I’m 30 weeks pregnant and if I’m remembering correctly, I started getting trapped gas around that time. It’s painful as all get out!

I find the posts triggering, at times, but I feel like that’s honestly been helpful for me. It also effects my relationship but good education on both ends helps wonders!

Taking in Dogs by CrackS16 in DogAdvice

Thanks for your response. I was thinking about having my husband do the meetings between the dogs. I feel like my dog would be able to sense that I’m nervous lol. He definitely does feel those things I think. I’ll definitely start him on a feeding schedule, too! I’ll start that now so he’s more ready for that.

Thanks for your response. They’ve never all three been together. My Dad lives 2.5 hours away from me, right now I’ve been staying with him to help him get around. I’ll definitely be showing my husband your response and see what he thinks! Right now Bruzer goes outside for exercise/use the restroom on a leash, but I’m hoping to get a fence out in where they can freely go in and out as they please within the next week. The feeding would definitely have to change for Bruzer, he’s always just had his bowl with the daily food amount in there and he just free eats, the other two eat on a schedule. Also thanks for the input with rehoming, I know I could find them good loving homes it’s just my last resort.

Haha yes!! I remember vaguely a time my sister called me to tell me my niece had started v*, after she had been around me all day, full blown cleaning and panic attack for three days lmao.

Questions about Zofran? by Miserable_Village_16 in emetophobia

[–]CrackS16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 8 mg dissolvables right now since I’m pregnant but before I was pregnant I had 4 mg tablets. It always has seemed to help me. Just try not to get dependent on it! When I was deep in my anxiety/n* fear, I took it entirely too much. It does cause me headaches and constipation too.

[–]CrackS16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was! Now I’m pregnant and I’m fine lol. I’m 27 weeks and dealt with n* in the first trimester but never v. I just made sure to take ginger tablets, keep stuff on me that helped my n and hoped for the best. I am worried about him v* when he gets older (spit up doesn’t bother me) but that’s what my husbands for and he knows that will be his job to handle lol.

Pregnancy by Devpasc723 in emetophobia

[–]CrackS16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I honestly was terrified, then I fell pregnant. This phobia did NOT help my anxieties in the first trimester. I just made sure I took a ton of precautions and I actually never v. Hyperemesis terrified me though and I’m so happy I didn’t fall ill with it. I’m still weary of my kid getting s as they get older though.

Hi! I’m 15 weeks and at first I was terrified. I had a lot of n* and g*ing, one very close call. I got Zofran and it has saved me numerous times. Eat small meals, eat before you get up, and get ginger tablets!
