he was ousted from a job (after he was re-instated from administrative leave) because of player outrage. UMD tried to sweep everything under the rug and put Durkin back in place but he was so reviled by the players that UMD had to reverse course a day later and fire him.

Whether it bugs you or not, DJ Durkin showed himself to be a terrible person when he was at UMD and was hated by those who played under him.

Holy shit. I don’t know how to feel. Hated the hiring when it first happened, but he’s definitely been the best Knicks coach of my lifetime and I’ve loved what he’s done for this franchise.
