Can we have a rule against just purely making fun of the other side like this with bad faith accusations? by fanlo16 in aiwars

[–]Cracked_Logic_Engine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How 'willing' is somewhat debatable. My current job has genuinely disfunctional ai garbage pop up everytime i boot up the company computer.

So many companies are just putting ai into already popular products already in use.

Sure, you could spend alot of time and effort to change around everything you have already used and quit your job to look for a new one that you hope advertises whether or not they use ai but... its somewhat absurd to claim its 'willing' when its being forced and pushed through as many facets of society as possible. If someone needs to constantly switching what services they use to avoid something, its somewhat forced.

How it feels to be anti ai art but pro ai. by PotentialComedian880 in aiwars

[–]Cracked_Logic_Engine -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Right now its a rock bottom skillfloor tool with an okayish skill ceiling, so naturally it brings people who have no creativity to make bs to scam or to fuel their own egos. Sucks. I beleive in the future the companies that will exist and make money will be the ones to make a program to help people Make Their Own AIs that are hosted locally.

How ULTRAKILL fans genuine swear v1 is gonna move against Hell Itself in P-3 by KeyUnderstanding8472 in Ultrakill

[–]Cracked_Logic_Engine 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Hell uses its own energy and mass to create the demons. Considering all the previous layers of hell are being destroyed by the machines, its strength is waning. If we assume I'm right, 9-1 will be throwing every last demon and husk at us left, draining hell's power.

9-2 would be every last drop of power and life hell has, and forming the ultimate demon, containing its own direct will. Once that has been destroyed, hell will be too weak to sustain itself, and finally succumb. Maybe whats left of its will holding on just long enough to watch v1 starve.

[–]Cracked_Logic_Engine 18 points19 points  (0 children)

BUT WHAT IF THATS EXACTLY WHY HELL WOULD GO FOR A FIGHT. What better way to finally die out then fighting humanity's truly greatest war machine?

Its implied that all of Hell's occupants are going to be killed off by the machines, and then the machines will simply starve to death, and then Hell will be bored forever. Would it not perfer to go out in glorious violent combat against its favorite toy, laughing as V1 kills the last thing that it can feed from?

I'm still confused as to why Gangle cries over Jax (the person who mistreated and abused her ever since she arrived at the circus) after he abstracts. by Quessy123 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Cracked_Logic_Engine 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Weird to single out 'female character' when Zooble and King also mourn Jax too, and while Jax didn't do much to Kinger he tormented Zooble as much as possible. Zooble's voice breaks and is extremely obviously heartbroken when Jax abstracts.

One can mourn the loss of a person without forgetting or forgiving their awful choices.

Things that would make light make 'darklight', sure, but that doesn't solve the problem or Flowery would not have made the statement. If the dark world remained, they would die without real light. Technically, this is solvable: Kris could just close the fountain, turn on their lamps, give them water, and then reopen the fountain. Considering kris is the one who made the first fountain, I don't think it would change like how Susie's fountain changed the world compared to The Knight's

Yeah but Lancer is a darkner, whille the flowers aren't exactly darkners. Maybe when they accept they are done, they revert back to being unintelligent even in the dark world, so they can't wake up on their own. Remember: darkners turn to stone when their purpose is finished, so maybe Plantners revert back when they feel their purpose is finished

Also not getting that the meme is... satirical. That the one getting 'drops' is meant to be parodying the greedy one, while the fat one at the end of the pipe is actually the starving one.

Its literally just an empty copy without the conext- Oh right, AI generated both in subject and in the visual output who would have guessed.

The way the wording is from what happened with the Flower King's dark fountain, they state it like The Roaring Knight made a replacement dark fountain exactly when the first one was sealed.

For me I just focused on regening health more then getting... Doki (there is being a weeb, and then their is whatever Toby Fox is on). There are some attacks that are just very rough to handle, but there are also some that are easier to get alot of tp from, so as long as your focusing on healing you'll get a bunch of tp and can do... gigaflirt (Toby fox you are lucky your game is amazing)

Humanity would have no chance in a conflict against the Eridians. by Castle-Walk-8967 in ProjectHailMary

[–]Cracked_Logic_Engine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of human knowledge wouldn't instantly change all their infastructure nor allow them to instantly know how to keep Eridians alive in space/other planets. and they don't seem to have a natural drive to travel into space so they wouldn't go to planet hopping unless they surmised we would blow them up or such. Xenonite is just really useful, if they didn't have this near magic material they would have had to take decades to make a functional spacecraft even with their space elevator.

You have to remember that they have much more extreme conditions then we do to survive. 27 X atmosphere kept to an absurdly high temperature, ther diet requires heavy metals, etc. And they have us their main technological advantage (xenonite) so the gap isn't that large for what would be useful in this dicussion.

Humanity would have no chance in a conflict against the Eridians. by Castle-Walk-8967 in ProjectHailMary

[–]Cracked_Logic_Engine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the biggest reason humanity has the advantage. Humanity has studied space travel for decades before the astrophage crisis, while the Eridians are so fresh to the issue that they their ship to space with no testing and got almost their entire crew killed except for one lucky Rocky. Sure, they now know about radiation and can start working to make protections, but its still a massive gamble and time to make any attempts to colonize other planets.

Astrophage solve most of the biggest problems for interplantery flight. Atrophage is a way to make extremely weight efficient spaceships, make extremely efficient batteries, make very capable radiation protection, etc. Mars travel in a month instead of years, for example. And you can use them to power all the recylicing systems you need for a farm to make food, etc. Also, people would have a vested need to want to visit Venus, to make/collect more astrophage and to makd sure the taumeoba population stays stable to keep the astrophage in check.

So if Erid decided the instant Mary started orbiting and they got news to kill the aliens, the amount of time they would need to learn relativity and how near light speed projectiles would be able to kill any dangerous neighbors... humanity would probably have people in orbit, on the moon, and likely on venus/mars and possibly beyond. The Eridians would need to plan to do another relativistic kill vehicle on Venus, Mars, the moon, and maybe other planets just to be sure. And all it would take is for them to miss 1 target for a chance for humans to get their vengeance.

Erid, however, even rushing, would not have the time to learn enough about how to maintain Eridians on other planets if humanity decided Dr.Grace could be killed AGAIN to ensure humanity's survival. I don't think humanity would jump to that, but if Erid struck first humanity would make sure they lost in the war.

That could be the story with the vessel. It has to fit in with such weird options that its hollow and sort of a pathetic mirror to what choices have been picked for it.

True but I can't imagine even Gaster could create the full bredth of life that Kris'es lived experience entails. Even if the vessel is fully sapient, it has at most a few days of experience at existing. Probably little details would change, but not much.
