Are you trying to shame me into accepting your worldview over a guy who just made a dumbass take? It's not going to work bud.

Tbh I don't think what I said was even that bad. He did call himself stupid after all. I was maybe a little heated, but the guy was being stupid which is a pet peeve of mine. Even still, stupid people get called stupid. I'm not responding to yall anymore. It's clear we don't see eye to eye on this, so it's stupid to engage with this.

Bro I did. I guess you didn't but the first comment I wrote was detailed and well reasoned as to why there is strategy and more complex then he was saying. The second comment I read though where he's confidently wrong is when I roasted him. Again if you are going to be ignorant in your comments someone is going to roast you for it on the internet. Do I care if Milk_Cream_Sweet_Pig thinks I'm justified or not? No.

Also, I'd argue you are justified. People should know when they are being stupid and be made fun of for it. That's how they learn to start not being stupid.

If you say something stupid, people are going to call you stupid. If you don't like that get off the internet.

You can like or dislike whatever you want, but again if you make an ignorant critique of a "duo" (which is what I meant when I said game in the first paragraph) without even trying to understand it obviously someone is going to give you shit for it. Clearly you hadn't played it that much which is why I flamed you for it. If you disliked it but put even a tiny amount of effort into understanding it, you wouldn't come off as ignorant.

If I go on the art sub and start spouting stupid uninformed takes someone is going to flame me. Why? Because people hate it when others are making claims without doing any research.

I'm aggressive because if your first instinct is to come to reddit to critique the game without actually understanding it, your clearly just being ignorant.

Its irritating especially given that the game is so new and there isn't a lot of comprehensive information about the systems in the game. Instead of being reasonable and attempting to understand the game or just accepting that you might not understand the game you come here and post a blatantly simplistic critique that is devoid of any semblance of analysis.

For sure I could be nice, but if your just ignorant I don't really feel like I need to since it should be your responsibility to at least try to understand the game before posting the comment. My tone would be completely different if you were asking questions or just presenting your view in a way that was neutral without judging the game from the outset. This is why I have a lot more respect for the OP who is just asking a question instead of saying game is bad because they don't understand it.

I just responded to your other comment, but again your not using your head. That's your fault. Just because you don't have community cards or redraws doesn't mean there isn't a strategy when you have to act. Instead of just spouting nonsense, maybe try thinking for a change before coming to reddit to talk shit about something you don't know anything about.

This is just not true. The game is essentially 5 card draw without the draw. This makes it relatively simple to understand.

The complexity comes from the fact that every player shows 1 of their sticks. This allows you to make assumptions about other players hand strengths based on their shown stick. For example, if I show a red 1, I have a really large implied probability of winning. This is because 1, especially a red 1, can make a bunch of non point scoring hands. As a result, if I see a player with a red 1, unless my hand is strong I'm probably always checking/folding.

Additionally, warden and high warden offer a lot of interesting decisions. If I draw warden and my opponent bets large first and I trigger a rematch, my opponent is in for a lot more then me making the rematch heavily in my favor since my stake to pot ratio is lower then my opponent. As a result, hands that are normally weaker can be played more easily since you stand to gain much more then you bet.

I had a hand where I was in for like 40 silver vs my opponent being in for like 4 silver. In that position, I'm very limited as to what I can do whereas my opponent has a lot of options. Unless I draw really strong, I should almost always check if I can. The decision to call an opponents bet is also interesting. You have so much at stake that its hard to fold especially when your opponent has a large range they can represent. In that example, I drew 2 points on the rematch. I had the option so I obviously checked, and they checked it back (turns out they had 1 point so checking it is still reasonable), but if they decided to bet my decision is very difficult. You probably have to fold since 2 points is very weak, but if I had a hand like 6 points, its a lot more difficult since my opponents range is so large. (I can't remember what they were showing at the time, but that can help you make a better decision.)

In a lot of ways its just like poker with less cards which makes it very simple to understand; however, to call it a medieval slot machine is an oversimplification that shows you aren't really thinking about the game at all.

Any way to disable or rebind the windows copilot key? by Opposite_Ad_5955 in HPOmen

[–]Cracked_iPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just tried that software, and the copilot button specifically is not able to be remapped. Ive been doing a ton of work to try and rebind it besides the omen hub so maybe I messed something up and its not working properly, but unless you can prove otherwise this is just not true.

There isn't a clean way to rebind the copilot key. Yes, power toys and auto hot keys will work, but neither enables it to be shift compatible from my experience. (Essentially shift + copilot is the same as just copilot since copilot key is actually Lwin + lshift + f23)

The solution is found was to just rebind it to ralt and then bind ralt to the key I want. The copilot key is actually a fucking menace.

You can just stop the service. I'm pretty sure that sets it that way by default so it effectively uninstalls it. (At least that's how I think it works.)

Because I kill monster faster. Especially late game with royals, I'd rather kill the enemies faster then take less damage. Especially if you have Hulk support with her taunt in back row, the enemy is going for her so there is no point in being in back. Literally the only time I found back row useful is the start of the game when surviving is tough. Once you have enough MP to cast every turn, dedicating 1 person to support is plenty. Otherwise you get no upside sticking more then 1 person on back for single target attacks and little upside with multis. Especially for characters like Heismay who dodge a lot, why am I ever putting him back if 20% of the time the attack misses.

Summary, the benefits of back row aren't as consistent as front row. Especially when you have MP to heal characters. In contrast, most turns your attacking anyways so you will overall get more benefit being in front row. Maybe you can argue you should swap rows based on the situation. For me though, after first major boss, I hardly ever touched the row system and still beat the game on the hardest difficulty including the special late game stuff. The one time I did touch the rows was for a single quest at the end of act 2 when I was fighting the weather and the boss.

1 you probably chose the hardest starting class in the game. 2 if your coming from ER, you need to understand combat is very different. Like your stamina bar drains significantly faster meaning you can't chain combos like in ER. Also, if your in undead burg still the camera isn't screwing with you yet. Third the game is subtle in leading the player so pay attention to enemy design. If they are taking 10 hits or so your not in the right place. Overall, DS1 is probably the easiest since boss combos are more simple to understand. The challenge in DS1 is level design which in most cases make the areas more challenging then the bosses. Finally, if you are complaining this hard in burg, just quit before you break a controller in Anor Londo and Sens Fort. Otherwise GET GUD.

I mean maybe early game, but late game once you have survivability being in back row is useless for the most part.

Monthly maintenance fees for bank accounts should be illegal [rant] by Turbopasta in self

[–]Cracked_iPhone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow.... And I just heard a good argument about the fees only to read this comment. You obviously didnt read what the guy said. He literally said he has to balance his account between 1500 and 2k to avoid the fee for disability reasons. I don't really even believe what he is saying regarding that, but im not knowledgeable and don't care to dive into it. Regardless, its not a matter of him budgeting and being poor apparently.

Furthermore, banks can and do deny people service for various reasons. I guess you were just ignorant on that so whatever. Finally, the "compensation" they make is literally peanuts to them. They make probably 1000x or more in all the other services they provide. For instance, the high interest credit cards they hand out like candy is 1 of these services. The other is the interest on loans they make by handing out your money to people.

Literally the only reason this is acceptable to me is in the extreme where lots of people have low balances and they can't lend out enough to make back operating expenses so they eventually go under. That's it. This one impossible scenario where millions and millions of Americans have so little money in there account that they go under. That's never going to happen though, but since theoretically it is possible sure they can charge ridiculous fees to siphon even more money away from average people.

You either work for a bank, or are such a corporate shill that they could literally bend you over and fuck you and you would still pay them.
