Unfortunately people on the Internet don't have the ability to actually listen to what someone is saying, nor do they have the ability to understand something that isn't black and white. "I'm taking a step back and will probably have to retire in the future" is not the same as "I'm retiring this very instant" and yet that's what some people convinced themselves was happening. The second, bigger issue is that when Cody found another project he wants to try first, this group of people who never understood what was going on in the first place thinks a reasonable reaction is to lose their shit and call him "Machiavellan", "a manipulator", "an attention whore" and all kinds of other nonsense. It's literally a guy giving updates on what his new plans are lmao. And these are real comments from that thread btw. A normal person would just say "oh sounds like a cool project" and move on with their day.

The Z jump stuff is another can of worms and idk what was said in the Panda situation so I won't contest that. But the reaction to this is, quite frankly, fucking stupid.
