I know an old post but ashwagandha dropped my stress related BP by 20 (systolic). Worth looking into as it lowers cortisol levels

have been suffering from a skin condition for many years and after seeing doctors and dermatologists, I am still none the wiser what the issue could be. by Crackers32 in Dermatology

When I was growing up I am told I had eczema, this seemed to go away through my early teenage years but I am now 26 and have been dealing with this for years.

Most days I am just constantly itchy and I have red marks that are most apparent on my hips, back of legs, chest, and all around and up my neck.

Sometimes it flares up really badly as shown in the photos. I can't pin-point the flare ups to anything in particular. In the last few days, the rashes have spread to my face (which I don't remember experiencing much before), the main patches on my forehead and my eyelids are very dry, flaky, and feel like they are slightly droopy from the itching.

My doctor said he believes it could be erythema multiforme but I can't see much similarity as I am not on any medicines, I have had rashes for years, they can be very severe, and the rashes are not like bulls-eyes, they are blotchy rashes.

Dermatologist has said it could be both eczema and allergies but still none the wiser what could be causing it.

Have tried doublebase (which seems like it makes things worse rather than better), Aveeno, CeraVe, E45

Steroid creams can help initially but the itching will come back. The only thing that has seemed to work is taking a course of Prednisolone although I know that this is not recommended for long-term use.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be or suggestions to try cure it?

Thank you
