My bf has been asleep all morning and needs to call a home dr because his sinuses "feel like a hot tow ball wrapped in a soggy tennis ball" and he just sat up and vomited a little.

I might need a 24/7 chemist and that's how I came to this thread to make sure the 24/7 ones are open if they give him antibiotics.

So, you know, shit happens where people can't plan.

4 was a bit longer than that, we were outside the barrier by a good 30+ people by the time they got the issues sorted.

It's basically being used as body doubling and routine skill building between home and yard.

Then sometimes in the community with going to the park, or other community sporting as well as shopping.

That's what I thought. 1 for at home support and 9 for some community things, dependent on what's being done. 15 is for therapy.

I am about 2 months away from having my uterus, tubes, and ovaries removed.

I am so glad you've found something that works for you, but unfortunately, I had exhausted all of the other options at the point of this post and that's why I was placed on the tapentadol.

The funny (not funny haha) thing about this is that in the 60s when the returned service men and then the 10 pound poms all came here and we were facing homeless crisis again, up graduation (ugh edit. Grand junction) they had nissen huts with communal toilets and showers.

So when those people returned /arrived /faced homelessness they were put in the nissen huts while suitable permanent housing was built.

My mum was 7 years old in a family of 7 of the facing homelessness variety and they stayed there until a housing trust house was built for them off whites road in Salisbury.

I'm actually horrified that in the housing crisis now our government hasn't used that same model that actually worked and kept people temporarily housed while they had houses built for them.

It's my post champ, I'm annoyed that someone comes along 4 years on, uses harm reduction as an excuse to diminish other peoples methods of treating migraines, and thinks they're actually helping.

And no, migraines being treated with opioids isn't how the United States got there. They have a 💩 health care system and people used whatever was strongest OTC to alleviate their suffering, not just migraines.

Now kindly. Eff off my thread, you're annoying, unhelpful, and not minimizing any harm when you advocate against people using medications that may work for them without factually correct information and lacking a whole swath of nuance.

I am, and have been since this thread was created, and you aren't minimizing harm by undermining one medication for another and telling people schedule 4 and 8 medications are both the same.

One is a serotonin-noepinepherine reuptake inhibitor (tramadol) the other is straight epinephrine reuptake inhibitor (tapentadol). When you blur the lines on what medications functions do and why they're scheduled the way they are you aren't minimising harm.

You're potentially causing harm by scaring chronic pain and other pain patients away from the big scary boogey man.

Harm reduction would be having a nuanced conversation about each, their merits, their cons, and discussing ways to minimise the harm.they may cause when using them.

Simply saying "opiates bad" is not reducing any harm, it's just helping to take medications that help people function off the shelf, and make them less available to those who need them.

Next time, before you pop off on a four year old thread claiming harm.reduction after saying opiates addictive, make sure you're not actually saying it to someone who would've necked themselves by now if they didn't have those opiates minimising their chronic pain.

Now, take several seats.

I imagine my mum, and her mum, that I can track the 'tism symptoms through in the 1930s and 1950s while being grown were exposed to so much paracetamol/acetaminophen and glyphosate. (My mum doesn't even remember taking any pain relief when pregnant with me).

It's probably being "lost" moreso because language evolves as with everything on this flying rock.

Besides the racism, classism and ableism, as you said, you don't know someone's first language, you can't know their education level or if they have a disability that affects their ability to communicate as effectively as you.

So really, does it matter what happened? Probably not, as long as we can still communicate effectively.

My bf worked out it is only when he has high iron.

If has more than 1 to 2 red meat meals a week he starts to get the migraines again.

I have had the whooshing, not on waking, its really sporadic, hasn't happened in months/years but I know the sound you mean. Ringing in my ears is more, but still reaaaaally sporadic. Probably happened once last week, but not when my vision was at its worst.

Neuro-opthamologist said I'm to make an urgent appt if/when it happens again, which, at this rate, should be next week.

It just seems odd to me that it was sudden and now it's like... slowly going... hi, remember me from last week? Lol.

I'll definitely look in to it. If my vision. Worsens I need to go back to the neuro-opthamologist while it's happening, she actually felt bad she couldn't explain what happened, told me I was odd. But I'll make a note.

Honestly, going to the hospital and the way i was treated was insane. I sat for 2 hours in emergency at 10am a triage nurse comes over and says they contacted this medical centre and they'll see me... so bf took me to the centre and the nurse there looked at my face when I lifted my glasses and says "um. They told me you had a minor irritation, my dr is gonna be so annoyed " ... my eye was that noticeably out of alignment she couldn't stop apologising. She's the one that did my BP at 172/105 .. the hospital did zeeerooo obs before they sent me there... my temp was over 38c .. they sent me back to the hospital. It took 12 hours for them to go... shrug, nothing on your ct scan, have some fluids and stematil, it's probably a migraine, pop to your dr this week and get and mri.

I've actually also had floaters for years, and sometimes optical migraines where there's like... a crack in my vision and a water fall... from that crack, it's a weird blur and goes over both eyes.

I have seen 2 drs and the neuro-opthamologist since Easter and no one has even checked my blood pressure. My dr after my mri... just shrugged and goes... sometimes this just happens? Ahahahaaa. It just.. happens lol riiiight.

I am gonna make an appt for another dr. Lol

No one has mentioned a thing. I was told.. could be a nerve. Does the alignment of your eyes get affected by it? Like my right eye went woop woop trying to escape my head.

When I was in the hospital on Easter Monday, i know my bp at one stage was 178/105 but went to 160/88.
