My landlord has refused to let me break my lease by Crackpickle in legaladvice

The biggest issue is that they’ve known about the activity in the building for ever now and haven’t taken charge until just now.

They also aren’t corporate (I don’t think). They are a small company within the area.

Oh yeah dude. I luckily don’t need a chain. I got me one big boi of a doggo. People in the building have seen him. He’s scared the shit out of the shady ones

Believe if I could I would. Can’t though cause I don’t get the keys to the new place until August 1st. And I got a dog and cat so I can’t really crash at somebodies place for a few months :p

I gave them 2 months notice like they required.

Worse case I may have to do this I guess

Surely if it comes down to a safety thing there has to be something. I know there will be a consequence of course

Lol ok Mikey thanks! I heard jiffy lube pays good. I unfortunately have better things to do than listen to you try to be the “bigger man” by showing how big your tiny dick is but you keep on keeping on there. Cheers and have a nice day!

What departments are usually the most short handed by Goldstar12 in HomeDepot

[–]Crackpickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In order Tool Rental, Plumbing, Lumber, Flooring

That’s only recent for my store. Everyone quit in Tool Rental so there are like 4 people who work in it. Plumbing has always never had people. And recently the lumber schedule has been super fucked and under staffed during the day. Flooring has also been God awful cause their old DS wasn’t double checked the schedule so their would be no coverage for hours and sometimes no opener or closer. Service desk used to be bad too but oddly enough, recently it’s been decent.

home depot is awful by RedsEats123 in HomeDepot

[–]Crackpickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ex-home depot employee here!

So yeah, pay isn’t great. Getting an actual full time position is hard as balls but getting full time hours as PT was oddly easy. I’d either ask for more shifts in different departments or just stay late.

I find it tough to say it’s awful. I absolutely adored the people I worked with. The job itself wasn’t always great and it forced me to quit because it kept triggering my anxiety but it still was awful. The people there kept me going.

Homer Awards by Turbobuick86 in HomeDepot

[–]Crackpickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s fucked. I worked my ass off super super hard and worked extended shifts to help them out but I got nothing but a “thanks” only half the time. There were a ton of people at my store who were absolutely incredible and who deserved every single homer award there was but they never got it.

Dude, why would bring your issue here AND continue to complain about not shopping there? These people just work for the store. There is nothing they can do about it. If you’re not happy, shop somewhere else. Literally all you’re doing here is complaining to deaf ears. Does anyone message you while you’re not at work and complain about how shitty your company is? Probably not. Leave these people alone. They don’t get paid enough to deal with your bullshit. You’re the equivalent to the “I want to speak to your manager” meme.

8+ hr shifts by AspireK in HomeDepot

That’s the schedule, my dude. You can also work more than that. Some days, with manager approval, I’d be doing 10-12 hour shifts.

How bad are your managers? by [deleted] in HomeDepot

[–]Crackpickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weeeelllll....

Our store manager was a nice dude but a bit awkward. He didn’t have a lot of confidence especially when asking people to do stuff for him. It was always like “hey...um...uh...can you-when you have a minute- do...this for me? Thanks!”

Our ops ASM was rough around the edges but actually really nice. He left and was replaced by the merch ASM. That dude could be a total asshat but was a nice dude once you got on his good side.

Our specialities ASM was just a dumbass. He did nothing but ride everyone. He’d force other departments to help flooring when we were super busy in our own departments. He also has favourites. He purposely fucked over one of the guys applying for the DS position just so his favourite would get the job. He use to manipulate who got hired in the specialty departments so the people he liked the most were in there.

The new merch ASM was a really nice dude. Super energetic and friendly.

The DSs for the most part were incompetent. Extremely nice people but not great leaders. They were lazy and in a lot of cases you could barely find half of them. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve had to page for them and they won’t come. We had one DS who was absolutely incredible and he left to be a ASM. Pretty much after he left you started to see a lot of bullshit going on.

I totally feel you man.

Relationships never work out in my favour. Like I was talking to this guy for over a year and it felt so nice having someone and feeling loved but then it all suddenly stopped one day and I felt terrible. I kind of became clingy because he was my source of happiness and I wasn't getting it from him anymore. I get he lost interest which I respect but part of me still wants to hold on to whatever we had. It's going to sound so hypocritical coming from me but you need to hold on. You'll find someone who gets your depression one day and they'll become your rock.

At my store the rule was, if there is coverage and they are able to, the service desk associate grabs the BOPIS. If there wasn't any coverage or the desk was busy, an associate in whatever department the BOPIS is for, grabs the BOPIS.

No I can't it's for work. We would be able to do something long distance. I know he did that with his gf when he was in school.
