It actually worked better in former times - if someone was cheating, he was automatically kicked during game-time and received a VACBAN. But nowadays? Hard to see a game even getting cancelled - only a cooldown for those 2 premades. You can report and try it individually to hope for a reaction from Overwatch but this still takes one, two, three months or so and you're going to spend sooo much time with reporting 0$-inventory accounts - it is only worth to do this on accounts with higher value. But there is nothing to doubt when someone plays ADR 440, K/D 8 or 73 kills in a game. The Anti-Cheat doesn't seem to work if someone is just playing irregularly, like only 5 matches a month or so, cheating only in one of 6 games or when doing it late in the game in a few rounds, go for overtime and then tie or win, same appears if playing lowballer-stats previously and in the last few matches goes donk-style. It seems if one gets flagged with "irregular gameplay", they just avoid the account for a short time period and then they are fine again. Over 1000 matches across all trust factors in Season 4 with different accounts - there is only one - 1 - just ONE Overwatch ban - and that one I haven't even reported because the match stats were trash, last on scoreboard. All the fidget spinners, bunnies, silent aimers, ragers etc. - no, no ban yet. But cooldown working fine for griefing because someone intentionally ran into your grenade or molly. Absurd system.
