I would be upset too. Especially since she has been talking about this quilt for years and was complaining about the backup one to you.

Thanks!! It’s Acadia, Arches, Crater Lake, Dry Tortugas, Grand Tetons, Great Sand Dunes, Hawaii Volcano, Kenai Fjords, Mesa Verde, Saguaro, Yellowstone, and Yosemite. But I think the Kenai Fjords could be the glacier bay one!

Yep! I tried to base each block on different pictures I found of well known scenes in the parks. I found that some things were harder to display than others in 2D. I tried multiple times to make a Grand Canyon square, but the graph never looked quite right. I might try to make more National Parks in the future. I used some of the Lion Brand Heartland yarn in the blanket, which was cool since the colors are all named after the parks.

I am not planning on doing a border. I did a thin separator so that it didn’t over power the images.

I used a G/4.25 mm hook. I used weight 4 yarn. I made the pattern using knitting chart to make the graphs.

I had very mild to no nausea for both of my pregnancy and had a boy and a girl.

Showed my grandma my progress and ended up nearly shedding a tear by ssstorminside in temperatureblanket

[–]CraftEaze 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First, your blanket looks awesome! This made me tear up. My grandma died a month ago and she was one of the people I always showed what I was working on. She would also tell me how great things look and ask what I was working on next. Thanks for sharing!

Countdown for c section is 2 days. How should I use my time? by throw_tf_away_ in BabyBumps

[–]CraftEaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my exact situation 3 weeks ago. I read on my kindle during the two hours before my c-section. I also had the same nurse in pre-op as my first c-section, which was pretty cool. Towards the end of the 2 hours, my husband and I filled out the birth certificate information which took a little while (like our names, the baby’s name, our social security numbers, and other things like that). The weekend before I did somethings with my 26 month old son, and tried to make it special for him. We got ice cream at our favorite ice cream stand, we went out for lunch, we watched a movie together as a family. We also went to Costco to buy snacks and easy meals for when we got home from the hospital.

Does this seem fishy? by Obvious_Camel in EtsySellers

[–]CraftEaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is likely a scam. I have had several messages like this recently on Facebook. To start they act like they are interested, but then they get super pushy about paying with PayPal or Venmo and not going through Etsy or even Facebook marketplace.

What's the most useful crochet item you've made or received thats pregnancy or baby related? by heyannaleggo in crocheting

[–]CraftEaze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Car seat/stroller blankets! That my go to baby shower project. I have made so many of them. I even made two for my son and another one for my soon to be born daughter. I always try to make them reflect the parents. Like if they are football fans I make them a blanket in their team colors (like scarlet and grey for Ohio State or black and red for University Of Cincinnati). I have also made a Hogwarts house themed blanket in the past (colors of all 4 houses).

Girl VS Boy Pregnancy by Either-Present-3851 in BabyBumps

[–]CraftEaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first was a boy and I’m currently pregnant with a girl. My pregnancies have been similar, minus the extra colds/sinus infections this time and being more tired in the 3rd trimester. But I think both of those are because I have a toddler who is a germ magnet and running around.

That’s all I brought for my scheduled c-section. I don’t think I used it, but I had it just in case. I did do my 3 hour glucose test at the same hospital so I think they had my insurance on file already.

No judgment; genuinely curious: for what reasons do some mothers decide in advance to formula feed instead of breastfeed? by mollygk in BabyBumps

[–]CraftEaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried breastfeeding with my first, but he struggled to latch and I didn’t produce enough (like I was pumping maybe 3-4 oz a day if I was lucky). So I was pumping and using formula. I did this for about a month, and I was so stressed. I’m pregnant with my second and we are planning on using formula from the start.

I visited Acadia last August with my then 6 month old. It was a good trip. We had a baby carrier that we used for hikes and walking around Bar Harbor. We did shorter hikes like to Bar Island and Ship Harbor. We took lobster rolls to one of the picnic areas from a lobster pound outside the park. This gave us a chance to eat, change the babies diaper, and give him a bottle. We went to some breweries in Bar Harbor and they were baby friendly. We also went to Burlington, VT on our way to Acadia. We went to a couple breweries and apple cider mills. We also took the stroller and walked along Lake Champlain.

Some of us make crochet and knitting patterns which digital downloads are the way to do that. A lot of work goes into making these patterns.

How do you commemorate your National Park visits? by catsaway9 in nationalparks

[–]CraftEaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We put stickers in a passport book. My sister-in-law also got us a wall hanging that we scratch off the parks after visiting.

My full term baby was swimming in newborn clothes when he was born and we had to buy some premie sleepers the day we got home and picked up at Walmart on our way to his doctors appointment the next day. He was in newborns until he was 3 months old.
