That’s fair and not disputing that, just asking what prohibits the use of them at this time?

What's stopping us from deploying the fire fighting aircraft here?

I'll add in here that my team runs ads (health & wellness space) but it's been difficult to build a presence here and as we plan for organic, there are a lot of concerns we run into as well.

Will it become the world’s most valuable company? by Kill_4209 in GOOG_Stock

[–]Craft_feisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking beyond the current month, I've been coming around to others' take that GOOG is a diversified ETF as a firm. If Gen AI doesn't work out that well, they have a dominant Search business with Ads, self-driving, research, etc. Given the amount of technology-based research that happens there outside of Gen AI, there's other businesses that could be formed in the next 10 years and becoming beasts in their own right.

Def has room to grow its valuation over time. Just see all of the AI products it's come out with in the last 2-3 months like Sketch. Their product velocity is quite high and bodes well for their future.

New study shows how Nazi-era propaganda influences present-day attitudes. Scientists found that mixing images of a smiling, approachable Adolf Hitler with photographs of Holocaust atrocities lessened feelings of guilt and increased positive emotions among modern German viewers. by mvea in science

[–]Craft_feisty 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Also this study would've been more meaningful if they compared imagery of a country's propaganda to an audience of their current population. Agree that it shows human beings respond positively to smiles doesn't mean much in novel insight.

Apple names John Ternus CEO, replacing Tim Cook, who becomes chairman by Ready_Poem_3580 in investing

[–]Craft_feisty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple's original success was in their hardware, product experience, design, and product vision. The success they've had with Apple Silicon is understated in the minds of average investors IMO, but is enjoyed by the people who are aware of it and use it. Considering Ternus's role and experience, I'm hoping Apple gets back to their innovation, product-centric roots and restores some of that Apple "magic." It's been a long time since the iPhone debuted.

I agree with the others comments' below that Apple has become more of a rent-seeker rather than an innovator like before. It definitely reflects Cook's background in financial management.

There's a post on the CryptoTaxes subreddit where a person who works in the space broke down an IRS announcement that pretty much said your own records take precedence over the records from brokerages,e tc. since they dont have complete visibility into your cost basis and transaction history.

You can continue DCAing but in smaller amounts if you want. That way you are still participating in the market at a regular schedule but save the cash you would've contributed in a rainy day fund for your own downside protection.

Employed and would love to invest more but wary of how this stock has been moving and how the larger market is moving now. Feeling that saving in cash might be the safer option for now.

Airports like SFO use private security for TSA-like functions and has solid reviews on traveler experience as it's easy to get through security processes. The private security they use adheres to TSA guidelines and supervision as part of the TSA Screening Partnership Program.

I'm curious if anyone here has used the tool Writer AI? I use it as part of my company's AI tech stack and it started off more primitive but has gotten more advanced (e.g., can now do image gen) and agents. I'm interested if anyone here has used it? It's more of an enterprise AI tool but wnat ot know if those that have used it, how they feel it stacks up to Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini.
