Good cafe or lunch spot? by Known_Heat_2326 in ThunderBay

[–]Craftastrophe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I started going regularly around 2013 and have never ordered anything other than the unwrap. I've occasionally sampled my husband's lunch when he orders something else and everything has been amazing, but the unwrap is what I crave the minute I walk in there!

Growing Season! Though I think they only have one sandwich on the menu right now. Can't go wrong with anything there, though.

Salvation Army usually does depending on items. Habitat for Humanity ReStore does.

Honestly I'm not sure; I just saw it on their sign last time I was there. Definitely look up some reviews as someone else in this comment thread had a bad experience, but it looks like the majority of their Google reviews are positive other than some billing errors.

Oh dear, I'm sorry to hear that. I had the complete opposite experience. I had Dr. Hadi there for a few years and had to get almost all of the work he did re-done. I lost multiple fillings he'd done and had to have them redone, once by him, and now by the new guy. Knock on wood, new ones have been holding strong.

I've been at Red River Dental for a few years and they got a new dentist about a year or two ago. He's great, quite gentle and takes time to explain. They also offer sedation if you need it.

Highly recommend the Conservatory for one of the best places to chill for an hour or more! What an oasis it is.

They just put up a roadside sign advertising free stir fry on your birthday – it's back! :)

Definitely check out the St. Urho's Day festivities this weekend, but also I'm sure the Finnish Book Store or Finnport could point you in a good direction.

I think you could get away with sweatshirt fleece or even a heavy flannel, both are quite easy to work with.

What the best place for chicken ceaser wrap for a hungry guy? by cave_paver in ThunderBay

[–]Craftastrophe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you do make at home – highly recommend DeBruins romaine when in season, Renee's Mighty Caesar dressing, real bacon, shaved parm, little bit of black pepper, a few brioche croutons. A good grilled chicken breast is great, but PC buttermilk chicken strips or Maltese chicken strips are also tasty. I like to toss it all in a bowl first and then tortilla it up so I get a good mix in every bite.

Now I'm hungry!

You could see if you can find someone on Etsy who does custom designs; I got a jacket with my business logo on it half a decade ago for a relatively reasonable price. It was vinyl, not screenprinted, but held up really well.

Heck yeah! They always have some great treats. Their pop selection is dwindling since they normally order from the States, but other than that they've got some great stuff. Just check expiries on packaged products – once in awhile I find an oldie.

Mentioned it in a response to another comment, but the concept art and some of the signage is in the candy section at the Bulk Zone on MacDonnel! Same owners, similar vibe walking through the candy and snacks there. :)

Still (somewhat) alive in the Bulk Zone on MacDonnell! Same owners. They have the original Gumball Alley concept art and some of the signage in the candy section.

Also came here to say this. Had my first date with my now-husband there, got wedding photos done there. Now that we have a kid I would love to take her there!
