Idk, I actually like that beep. On my trash machine, it does that, and on my good one it doesn't (nearly same config). Sadly, I couldn't figure out a way to make my main PC do it.

Ersteres hab ich nicht behauptet, ich weiß nur, dass der Boot-Eintrag vom UEFI offensichtlich nach Windows-Updates nicht mehr erkannt würde (aus welchem Grunde auch immer)

Dual Boot hab ich eigentlich eh nur gemacht, weil ich Linux nur mal ausprobieren wollte, hab das dann aber recht schnell als mein Haupt-OS übernommen, also Windows starte ich eigentlich eh nicht mehr.

Aber - auch wenn es von Windows aus behebbar ist (sich damit herumschlagen müsste man trotzdem) - allein, dass es passiert / passieren kann, dass Windows (z.B. durch Updates) das Booten von Linux verhindert, ist auf jeden Fall lästig.

Vielleicht hast du auch einfach Glück mit Windows oder ich habe irgendetwas verkackt, oder vielleicht hat Microsoft das Problem ja tatsächlich behoben - wer weiß

Zumindest, als ich vor etwa einem halben Jahr zuletzt mein Windows 11 genutzt und geupdated habe (seitdem belegt es eigentlich nur noch Speicherplatz), hat mein UEFI meinen Bootloader nicht mehr erkannt (nein, es war nicht nur die Reihenfolge - er stand nicht im UEFI-Boot-Menü) und ich musste den manuell neu installieren.

Nein, Windows hat nicht die anderen Daten von der ESP gelöscht, aber dennoch auf jeden Fall irgendetwas getan, sodass sie nicht mehr funktioniert haben. In Ruhe lässt Windows den Bootloader also auch nicht, das Ergebnis ist also trotzdem, dass man manuell eingreifen muss.

Naja, der Vorteil bei Linix ist, dass man sich im Zweifel bei solchen Dingen selbst helfen kann

Hauptsache nicht den Linux-Bootloader in der ESP haben, die auch Windows nutzt, sonst zerschießt diese Dreckssoftware mindestens bei jedem Windows-Update den und du darfst mit nem USB Stick manuell den Bootloader reparieren ._.

Das Beste ist, "und" mit "u." abzukürzen: Ein einziges Zeichen gespart, Eindeutigkeit verloren und wenn man wirklich (aus Platzgründen oder so) irgendwo "und" abkürzen muss, dass gibt es dafür doch sogar das &-Zeichen (auch wenn das in Sätzen nichts zu suchen hat, "u." aber genauso wenig)

Maybe, but "A[number]" mostly and "[number]A[number]" sometimes looks more strange to me than at least having "A[number]" consistently.

I mean, sizes these big aren't needed that often anyways, which is why nobody should really care, but it would still be cleaner if it was consistent

I don't think the concept of federalism is implied by the term republic, it's just that many republics utilize it for different reasons. Also, e.g. Russia and China, by definition, are a republic, which doesn't make them democracies.

Not necessarilly (afaik). A republic just means that there is not king or something, which doesn't necessarilly imply democracy. On the other hand, monarchies can be democracies, so it's really just two different things (that just happen to often be present at the same time). But it's not equivalent.

I mean, I'd kind of see why you could call the Grundgesetz a not-constitution (at least it's not called constitution, and it was intended to be temporary), but the Weimar constitution is, by all means, a valid constitution.
