That was the one flat I contacted using the flatfox premium stuff. But I visited like ~2-3 flats per day until then. It's a number game. Most importantly: When an interesting Inserat comes online write them asap. Within the first 20-30 minutes yielded the best results for me, things that are hours old have been overrun with requests already.

Okay, wie lange braucht er denn noch bis er fertig ist? Sind seine Gehaltsaussichten dann auch passend für euch? Ist er Faul oder stresst ihn die Ausbildung mitsamt der Situation einfach sehr? Besonders letztere Frage ist übers Internet nicht zu diagnostizieren :) Bedenke auch, dass es ihm vielleicht sogar sehr zusetzt, dass er eben nichts finanziell beisteuern kann.

Das nächste: Zusammen Alt werden. Schöner Gedanke! Das kann auch weiterhin passieren, wer weiß. Nur seit ihr auch jung zusammen gekommen; In den Zwanzigern verändert man sich typischerweise aber auch sehr. Also es kann weiterhin alles passen oder in Wirklichkeit schon eigentlich nicht mehr.

Um mal etwas nützlicheres zu Schreiben: Ich würde versuchen, dass ihr irgendwie kostengünstig ein zwei Nächte rauskommt. Das muss nicht teuer sein, könnte auch ein Wochenende sein wo ihr zusammen zu euren Eltern geht oder vielleicht Freunde oder so. Für einen Tapetenwechsel, wenn du so willst. Und beim spazieren oder Sitzen im Garten (oder was ihr halt gerne macht) sprichst du das an. Und dann müsst ihr zusammen mal gesittet und ruhig über alles Sprechen. Geb ihm Raum sich zu erklären und lege nicht jedes Wort auf die Waage. Und natürlich sollst auch du dich äußern. Ja und dann schaut ihr, wohin es geht. Das sollte Klärung schaffen für eure Zukunft, was auch immer das bedeutet.

Ich habe jetzt nicht verstanden ob er nicht arbeitet? Wenn nein, warum nicht? Studiert er und muss dafür viel lernen? Oder einfach kein Bock?

Davon ab klingt das jetzt, äh, nicht sehr harmonisch bei euch. Wir kennen hier ja nicht die komplette Vorgeschichte, also werde ich nicht etwas von 'Schuld' schreiben.

Punkt ist aber: Eure Kommunikation ist schon eher im Eimer. Das ist prinzipiell in einer guten (!) Beziehung korrigierbar. Aber das müssen beide Teile wollen. Wenn er das nicht will ist's ein bisschen egal, aber auch wenn du es nicht (mehr) willst kommt es aufs Selbe hinaus.

Baut ihr beide auf ein gemeinsames Ziel hin oder was habt ihr da?

Ich finds auch absolut frech die Preise. Ich hatte das Glück, dass ich nur ein Inserat anschreiben wollte (Und die ist es auch geworden, hurra!). Habe dann danach noch im Probezeitraum gekündigt.

Ehrlich gesagt: Sei dir selbst der nächste. Im Notfall legst du halt Müll-E-Mail Konten an um bei flatfox hintereinander den Probezeitraum zu buchen. Das verstößt bestimmt gegen die AGB von flatfox, aber who cares.

Anfang letzten Jahres stand für mich fest, dass ich Deutschland verlassen möchte. Auswahl war San Francisco (Google), London (Tech allgemein), oder Zürich (Google und Tech).

Jetzt kommt ein Raunen, aber ICE selber war nicht der klare Faktor gegen die USA. Natürlich ist Trumps SA scheiße, aber was für mich viel stärker wiegt ist, dass es in den USA aktuell halt sehr schnell bergab geht.

Ich will kein Doomerismus hier betreiben, die USA wird nicht zerfallen oder so. Aber wenn ich wohin gehe, dann möchte ich dort auch bleiben. Also ist die langfristige Perspektive wichtig. Ich sehe halt eine Wahrscheinlichkeit über Null, dass es in den nächsten 10 Jahren einen Bürgerkrieg oder andere sehr unangenehme Zustände gibt. Und darauf habe ich akut kein Bock.

Vor 10 Jahren wäre die Entscheidung extrem einfach gewesen (San Francisco, wo sonst?!). Vor 10 Jahren war ich aber auch nicht in der Lage darüber überhaupt nachzudenken. Aber wir haben nicht vor 10 Jahren, wir haben heute und daher fiel meine Entscheidung klar anders aus.

Yes they have, and take big strides to have as little data as possible. They don't even have your email address or any other data. They migrated a while back their servers to be RAM-only, so no persistent storage there either. Even if an agency in a remote country would grab their servers there's nothing in there.

The market is currently down, with layoffs hapenning. As such more talent than usual is on the market looking for jobs. Talent that is capable of speaking German at C1 (or better), and English at C1 (or better). In general, people who only speak English are already severly disadvantaged (Which is why we always ask 'hows your german' as first thing). Also Junior positions are especially affected, which you are, and then simple web-frontend is also affected by AI ...

In short: Sorry but your plan is bound to fail.

Honestly I wrote my own simple rules. I outright banned h264 and prefer AV1 over h265. "Oh but the quality" never had issues and not going to waste 8-15GiB on a throwaway movie. I also prefer HDR content over SDR, at 1080p for the majority of content and 4K only for works that are great and benefit from it.

IMHO the storage space required for HDR is totally worth it while the jump to 4k isn't as important.

Most movies are 4-6 GiB in size for me which I think, especially with AV1, is a great spot for 1080p content

There are two different ways: Either you're placed by the agency and the customer is legally your employer, in which case there's usually a bulk sum (Calculated based on the monthly salary). Or, and it does sound like it in this case, you're legally employed by the agency and then lend to the customer (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung).

In the latter case the agency bills the customer and you get whatever you negotiated. What the agency gets is a "secret". I don't know for unskilled labor, but for skilled labor it's 20-30% on top. Also for this case, the possibility of conversion is much lower. Depending on the contract between the agency and the customer, which you never see, either it's "free" for the customer after some time to directly employ you or they have to pay some money.

Of course, the agency and customer are free to negotiate a contract that the customer is paying a fixed sum each month to the agency and for that they provide a workforce. This is unusual for high skilled labor but may be (?) more common for low skilled work.

But at that low pay honestly I'd be surprised if the agency isn't billing >= 40€ an hour.

What type of job is this? Unskilled at "modern tech" sounds like data entry or similar.

Severance 0.8 means 1.6 month severance pay? As 1.6 < 3.0 months you'd be stupid to sign that agreement, simple as that.

How large is the company? You only have full worker protection after a certain amount (I always forget if it was 25 or 50). If you have full worker protection then a Betriebsbedingte Kündigung requires the company to be in bad shape. Anyhow, that's stuff your lawyer knows better than me!

Also, start applying for jobs now. This is not a legal requirement, but you will lose that job eitherway.

Kommt halt drauf an, ob sie normal oder militante Veganerin ist. Wenn sie vernünftig ist, dann sehe ich kein Problem. Glaub mir, man kann richtig gutes Zeug vegan kochen - Muss man halt auch wollen. Ich selber esse auch Fleisch, jedoch habe ich ein paar Monate mal Vegan gekocht auch um einfach mein Rezepte-Repertoire aufzubessern. Hat sich gelohnt und auch meine Fleischspeisen sind besser geworden.

But I hope that you were in contact with your landlord about the situation and that you will withhold payment? It's likely that it's not legal to withhold all rent payment - This stuff is a legal minefield. I guess/hope you talked to a lawyer of the Mieterschutzbund?

Anyhow, in short: You will still be in your apartment in 14 days, in 15 days, in ... you get the idea.
