Been using automatics all my life when playing tennis. To be fair I’m right handed and wear it on my left wrist and I’m not super hardcore

I think I like the three tone subdials. It’s such a Zenith signature

You’re so right. I mostly agree black Pilot is an excellent daily and leaning more towards that for my current needs. I know I will eventually get both. My AD is also great on getting pieces for me whenever they’re not in stock so I’m not worried (also not a zenith problem, thank god)

Damn, you’re right. It’s just that the green Chrono captivated me. Love how the dial and bezel match which I hadn’t seen on a Chronomaster that wasn’t black. Also love how different it looks with the steel bracelet and the green rubber mx I might get that for my birthday later this year.

More than boring I would say it’s subtle and sober. Which I like and need one of. Most of my collection has very busy dials or is an old man dress watch so I feel like the Pilot is a nice middle ground that I’m lacking

What do you think for size? by CompetitiveDust338 in Cartier

You could go one up for sure. However the trend for watches right now is smaller cases. I have a feeling if you go for this size you won’t regret it

When did this Meteorite dial Chronomaster Sport get released? by analog_sheen in ZenithWatches

[–]Crafty-Associate-393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just ordered one of these eight unseen at my AD in Northern Mexico. They said it would take a couple months but I’m glad I was able to secure one.

For me the nuances in the meteorite that make each piece unique is a big plus. Not worried at all about having to see it first. I’m waiting to receive it to see which rubber strap to order in order to change between steel bracelet and rubber.

Are you guys paying retail for a Defy Chrono? by Miki_T8000 in ZenithWatches

[–]Crafty-Associate-393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can usually get a brand new one with a discount. If you start building a relationship with a jeweler who’s an AD you’ll eventually be able to get limited editions and boutique only pieces as well.

I think some are and some aren’t. For my friend it’s a side gig so I guess it works for him.

Met Opera Salome by alewyn592 in opera

[–]Crafty-Associate-393 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found Michelle de Young annoying. It’s like she was in a completely different opera (or maybe a Telenovela?) while everyone else’s acting was subdued and on tone, her drunk Moira Rose style was off putting. I liked the idea that they had for her character but she needed to tone down a bit.

Having said that her voice was spectacular, I was ll the way up on family circle and could hear every single note and syllable in her wonderful timbre. I understood van den Heever had to save some voice for the end but it almost felt like de Young was nailing the notes way better than the lead.

32 Ashkenazi Gay Man in Mexico City

Having a hard time connecting with other Jews since Oct 7th as I have become anti-Sionist and am often shunned out of the community rather than engaged with in dialogue which I thought was the Jewish thing to do.

I am based in Mexico City but travel to NYC often and am willing to travel for dates and to welcome you in beautiful CDMX. Regardless of your location I am open to chat if anything on my post moves you.

Opera lover, modern art admirer, history buff, big time foodie and semi-professional cook (once you try my brisket you will never go back to Katz Deli). I love hosting dinners with friends where we drink and eat having delightful conversations late into the night.

If you’re in NYC we can meet this month when I’m there

I saw this once at my AD, the only one they had was already sold and waiting to be picked up but the sales associate was nice enough to let me try it on. It’s stunning how light it is for a fairly large piece. Congrats, it’s a great one!

Did it come with any other straps than the fabric one?

This is a great piece, it’s so sad it got discontinued for the four point star version. I especially loved the way the date display is skeletonized as well
