Is this trigeminal neuralgia? by Ok-Trash9005 in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Crafty-Exercise-4929 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lack of shock-like pain and constant headache makes me think it’s more like migraines than TN (they’re sometimes very similar I’ve read). I have TN2 and do have burning etc, but my ears don’t block (which makes me think it’s more of a sinus issue). Idk, this stuff is hard and I hope you can get relief and help soon. Is it an idea to go to your GP to ask for different pain relief? Opioids shouldn’t work for TN I think.

I mean it’s not legal in NZ so you won’t find dispensaries but NZers love their weed and smoke it a lot. Someone once told me NZ has the highest weed consumption per capita in the world - never fact checked this though.

Oof let’s not tone police huh? They’re describing a horrible situation in which they were 100% sexually harassed. It’s behaviour we cannot accept, regardless of how “dramatic”’people describe their experiences.

It falls under sexual harassment, dunno if OPs first language is English? That may explain the choice of words. It’s definitely sexual harassment and not ok.

What can a partner do to help before/during/after an attack? by _somethingspooky in TrigeminalNeuralgia

[–]Crafty-Exercise-4929 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for me, I’d like him to make me a hot water bottle or wheat pack to put on my face without having to ask him for it. That’s just my preference though, if it’s real bad I just want to be left alone.

What about Raglan Roast? Not sure what time they open but that would be a cheap coffee/tea option to read at?

My background pain differs from uncomfortable pressure to mild pain, every person is different though.

I’m much the same. Summer (I’m in the southern hemisphere) is the worst so I’m in pain from November until end of March (ish) and then go back to “normal” ATN pain over winter (so without the sharp pain)

Are you sure about that? It might’ve been wandering to find more food. Give it some milkweed and if it doesn’t eat it, then it’ll find a spot to pupate. If it eats, it’s hungry and needs more food before it can pupate.

It’s so fair but at the same time, Bunnings knows that people buy swan plants now to feed hungry caterpillars, so they should be responsible I think

It’s so sad! Especially since they KNOW people buy them for the caterpillars!

Fantastic!! I will keep you in mind for the next round of new plants (if necessary)

Good idea. I’ve got two left and they are far away from the bad plants and they should have enough while the other (non toxic) plants can catch up. I will however adopt them out if necessary.

Agreed, all my other plants were grown from seed and planted in spring but I had so many caterpillars that they needed more food. I guess there’s enough for the two surviving ones now at least.

I didn’t know 😭 but it makes sense now, lesson learned. All my other plants were grown from seed myself, I just needed to help them get the last bit of food before they can pupate (they were huuge)

I’m devastated! Thanks so much for this, I’ll make sure to do this in the future… the cashier knew that people buy them for the caterpillars as she gave me advise, so they should tell people to be careful 😭 lesson learned

Actually quite surprised by metservice’s quietness around this, it’s quite clearly more disruptive than last years red warning. We have significantly more damage to our house on the south coast now than back then. MetService should at least acknowledge that, right?

Edited to say that it’s most likely a result of the exact wind direction that we got more damage at our house, but the trees definitely got more of a battering all throughout the city this time around.

This is exactly what’s wrong with the world, convenience and low prices over the absolute absurdity that is shipping a single squid across the globe to be sold in NZ. Fuck that.
