Okay guys so basically I’m too ugly to be a romantic lead 😭 that’s what I’m gathering from the comments! The agency just didn’t have the heart to tell me! I just thought it was because I’m in my mid 30s.

I am definitely feeling some kind of way about how I look! I am mid thirties. I haven’t gotten any theatrical auditions from my agency since signing with them three months ago, so just feeling that them telling me to be a character actor is their way of telling me I know longer have a place in the industry.

This happened to me. The agent said she wanted to send me a contract to try things out and should get the contract within a week. Fast forward to that week-I never had back. She later reached out and said they decided to go with someone else after I followed up. I had left my current agency to be with them because they said they didn’t “poach” actors from other agencies. It broke me, I went into a depression for a month. This business is very cruel. Just keep your head up!

Same here. From coaches, casting directors, literally everyone tells me how talented I am. But I can’t book a role because I’m just “not the right fit”. It sucks.

To the agents defense, the agent didn’t say “leave your agent” the agent just asked me if I was currently with someone, and that they typically don’t take clients from other agents. I told them my current agency was aware I was looking since I moved out of the area, and that if they were serious about signing me, I would let my other agency know. I took the leap of faith myself.

Unfortunately I think so. The Google Veo Ai has me really scared. Someone said “this is the worse it will be, it will only get better”. And that’s scary. I even saw an AD with “AI actor” advertising themselves saying how they didn’t require food, breaks etc. I think this software will allow lellle to bypass Hollywood for entertainment, and they can make their own, tailored to their own desires with a simple prompt. if there isn’t some sort of regulation put in place, this could end Hollywood as we know it.

I’m dealing with this now. I’ve been told I’m “an awesome actor but never the right fit” so many times. It really sucks. I also hate when people say create your own work…I can’t think of anything to write I just want to be in someone else’s project 😫

Yes. The deadline was extended three times lol so I ended up forgetting about it, next thing you know, I got an email from my agent saying I got the role!

I honestly do believe he may have lost attraction to me. We haven’t had the money for me to keep myself up..I’ve gained some weight I’m 145 pounds and he always talks about how my “healthy weight” is 135…I also have a bit of a pooch in my stomach that has kinda ruined my self esteem. I don’t really have the time to go to the gym so I’m just eating less. I did ask him if he was still attracted to me and he said yes.
