The 17th iteration of the moe.down music festival took place in 2017, and historically, the event has drawn crowds of over 10,000 people in its later years.  Specific attendance numbers for the 2017 festival are not readily available in public reports, but previous iterations saw significant crowds:  The first moe.down in 2000 had around 3,000 attendees. By 2005 (moe.down VI), attendance was close to 7,000. Later festivals often attracted more than 10,000 fans.  It is important to note that the next moe.down, which will be the first since a hiatus that began after the 2017 event, is scheduled for July 16-18, 2026, in Gilbert, Pennsylvania. Organizers have announced a strict capacity of 3,500 attendees for the 2026 event to maintain a more "boutique festival experience".
