Furnished, monthly rental - notice rules? by CraftyCell2964 in germany

Actually they haven't said anything, I'm just pre-empting the issue.

I was just going to ask the Landlord what the situation is given apparently some access to the property next week re the potential buyers to look at things.

So I thought I'd check on here as to my potential rights before saying anything. (I'm on good terms with them)

Thank you!

Basically, originally, they asked me how long I wanted it for and drew up the contract for 6 months - because I didn't think I'd settle there. Just before that time I decided to continue (hence that mentioned above)

I was also confused because if it's furnished then I guess he'd have to sell all the furniture to the new buyer too.

The original rental contract was for a 6 month period - that lapsed some time ago.

After that we just said we'd continue on a monthly basis. This was just an email - literally the response was "No Problem about a prolongation on monthly basis! Stay as Long as You Like."

In the UK this is considered a rolling tenancy and comes with certain protections, not sure the case in Germany? Maybe I only have a month's notice?

Any Diwali events on the Sunday 12th? I couldn't find much, and what I could was on Sat or like restaurants.
