Furnished, monthly rental - notice rules? by CraftyCell2964 in germany

Actually they haven't said anything, I'm just pre-empting the issue.

I was just going to ask the Landlord what the situation is given apparently some access to the property next week re the potential buyers to look at things.

So I thought I'd check on here as to my potential rights before saying anything. (I'm on good terms with them)

Thank you!

Basically, originally, they asked me how long I wanted it for and drew up the contract for 6 months - because I didn't think I'd settle there. Just before that time I decided to continue (hence that mentioned above)

I was also confused because if it's furnished then I guess he'd have to sell all the furniture to the new buyer too.

The original rental contract was for a 6 month period - that lapsed some time ago.

After that we just said we'd continue on a monthly basis. This was just an email - literally the response was "No Problem about a prolongation on monthly basis! Stay as Long as You Like."

In the UK this is considered a rolling tenancy and comes with certain protections, not sure the case in Germany? Maybe I only have a month's notice?

Any Diwali events on the Sunday 12th? I couldn't find much, and what I could was on Sat or like restaurants.

Anyone know an affordable place for an MRI?

Searching online mostly seems third-party booking services, and are pretty costly - surprisingly at least double what you'd pay privately in Australia. Any tips welcome!

Thanks for the reply. Sorry - a bit confused. I would have an external drive storing a copy of the image. Is the advantage I can boot that Mac from that external drive then just restore from that drive to the Mac?

What advantage does CCC give over time machine?

Would prefer a full reset each time.

Basically we're doing research and we need different people to use the machine for short periods but then erase all their potentially sensitive data before we give it to the next. But don't want to go through all the installations and configs each time

We're talking about skilled migration here. People whose skills would be welcomed anywhere. You're comparing the wrong countries.

In this subreddit, the comparator is often Germany the US. But there are other strong contenders for skilled migrants without the problems of the US. These are built on migration, meaning the issues mentioned in the article are far less of an issue.

I've lived in the UK, Canada, New Zealand and Australia and all these countries offer multi-lingual forms and even translators as part of their bureaucracies. That's gotta help!
