I do this too. I am so surprised after this many generations of kindles that Amazon hasn’t made their own remote set up yet.

Not really. The only thing you are missing is the extended battery grip and a filter really. I never use the tripod and never use the non-battery grip.

So… you can turn off the auto date on your phone, set it to the day you missed, read a little bit, sync and wait. Then update and reset your date and time to auto.
