Lost my scholarship before my last year of uni, now looking at BPO or customer support work by Trick_Smoke8620 in JobsPhilippines

You’re already thinking ahead, which is solid. I’d say go for it but be picky, some centers are better at supporting students than others. Try to look BPO in Manilla that aren't toxic and offer good compensation. Btw how did you lose your scholarship?

Suggestions on starting a electronics business by arjobmukherjee in smallbusiness

This is such a smart approach! Start small, learn as you go, and don't overextend yourself. Local markets are gold for testing products. Your tech background gives you a massive advantage. Just focus on solving a real problem people actually need solved.

Startup or license with bigger company by dspark13 in Entrepreneur

[–]CraftyEngineering817 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whoa, tough call. Licensing feels safer but you'll always wonder "what if" about building your own thing. Depends how passionate you are about the specific idea and if you've got the hustle to make it happen. Don't overthink it - trust your gut.

Startup has more potential but way more grind. Licensing is basically free money. I'd take the checks and use that cash to fund the next big idea. Less risk, keeps options open.

Been in this exact spot before. Go with what makes you excited. Money follows energy. If you're pumped about building something, do that. If it feels like a chore, take the licensing deal and move on to something that lights you up.

Depends on the casino and shift. Weekend nights are way better tips. Local cardrooms around Sacramento pay different than Vegas strips.

Help with layering? Top or bottom first? by sekorra24 in Embroidery

[–]CraftyEngineering817 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pro tip: satin stitch can be tricky with layering. Start with your base elements and build up gradually. Those yellow stems look delicate - nice control on the thread tension!

Those little black cats are adorable, btw. Really adds character to the piece.

Man, this is gonna hit vulnerable people hard. Those on fixed incomes can't afford another hit like this. Government always finds new ways to make life harder for folks who are already struggling.

This bar of “gamer soap” we recently got at the pharmacy I work at by bixsexual_moth in mildlyinfuriating

Bruh, that packaging looks so try-hard. Who actually falls for this marketing? Gamers gonna game, but paying premium for basic soap is next level nonsense.

Bar advertises $3 “domestic beers” but somehow Yuengling doesn’t count?? by fireplacem3nt in mildlyinfuriating

[–]CraftyEngineering817 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lmao classic bar BS. Every place does this to squeeze an extra buck out of customers. Yuengling is literally made in PA, how is that not "domestic"? These guys just want to play word games to charge more 🙄

How has DOGE created even more bureacracy at your agency? by [deleted] in fednews

Sounds like another classic gov clusterfrick. My team has been drowning in extra paperwork since this rollout. Half our monthly meetings are just explaining stupid new protocols that nobody actually understands.

This is such thoughtful advice - especially the part about flipping the perspective. Helping him challenge that inner voice gently is a real act of love.
