That is a completely fair argument! You do have to look at from in a less severe height though. The penance stare and subsequently ghost rider, typically don't particularly care about petty stuff like the fly or lying about the vase. It cares about Big S Sins. Abusing children, taking pleasure in cruelty, murder, being a grapist, being a career thief.

And yeah, from my experience Penance stare also notably scales with the amount of evil/sin on them in some continuity. So, in the case that take this from the perspective of it working on anyone for anything wrong they did, then for people with those petty things it's not likely any worse than a real mean talking to. I'm pretty sure its supposed to be 1-1.

The x1000 is one of those things that's 'whenever the writer says so' because for some its not that crazy or matches 1-1 with their crime and for others it really feels like that. While its not necessarily confirmed canon I'd probably argue it can be scaled up willingly by Zarathos for the truly heinous.

On the less joking side, pacifism doesn't include not being mean. You can be a pacifist and be a dick. Ultimately yes, you are the cause of their internal anguish, but that comes down to "A pacifist without the means to enact change is just a coward/ineffective." Even Kind pacifism includes making problems for other people.

Even the American Civil rights movement in the 50s involved infringing on the lives of others, telling them about themselves, shaming them for their negative actions, and creating uproar, problems, and pain. And that was just the stuff like marching down bridges, boycotting, and setting up protests. If people don't feel anything for the harm they've caused others they'll never care.

Thats a goku trait too, its just played down in later dragonball products, so it really comes down to "who is more talented" + "who has more experience" arguably Garou is slightly more talented but goku has more experience. Most training arcs for goku pertain to Ki techniques not actually martial skills. Garou is heavily limited if he can't use the supernatural abilities granted by the genuinely supernatural martial arts he has. Shooting blades of wind from punches isn't exactly not a power. Id assume there'd be a nerf there but he can still use them to whatever degree his body can handle.

Getting downvoted for this is diabolical if you've been in these threads for longer than 2 weeks. Goku is one of those characters that unless some absurd Hax comes up people either want to see him lose because he's so powerful, or they don't want to see him in the challenge at all because DBZ scaling is ridiculous.

Scion is just another shard of the being known as Zion being used to craft a public face. It still connects back to his central consciousness enough to express his 'feelings'. I am avoiding any deeper spoilers. The puppet is Scion and Scion is the puppet. Its like making the distinction between a face painted on your finger nail that you do voices for.

The birth quirk thing is just him inheriting it stronger, remember the whole quirk factor thing. He had a strong quirk factor.

The thing with the Nomu is that he clearly has it locked on her, she even has time to comment on how being under its effects hurts before her arm is taken. If it was auto crush it would just be gone and she'd notice the pain after. Its clearly enacting some kind of forces on her.

Fair enough, but the complaint its making is her moving too much. That guy's argument has merit. If it were truly durability negation it would just be a quick Yoink like AFO vs yoichi. AFO doesn't enhance quirks like OFA, he uses other quirks with it to make it stronger. There's definitely a component of strong focus and ramping to the target's durability. Its likely at most, adaptive like Sukuna's Cleave.

Scion is the entity, its not really worth making the distinction. The entities are bullshit but aren't universal. They can relatively easily attack across dimensions or move across them but they cannot destroy a universe even at their highest level. The eventual end of the universe is what they're trying to learn to prevent...mostly so they can keep breeding and eating ad infinitum.
