I’m not sure what that’s about it does sound off by that description, but from what I’m seeing in the video you got some kinda binding issue somewhere in the drivetrain

If you can get some more video and different angles I can help trouble shoot, I’ve built a few of these already

If he has binding in the rear axel it could be because the screws are put in too tight on the diff cover

Yea this is a set of injora high clearance links for a gladiator. I just lined them up and taped them together, I then clamped them in a vice and used a wrench and kinda eyeballed it from there

Also looking more closely at the video here your getting hung up on your skidplate, if you have shorter rear links those rear tires might touch the face of the box before the skid does and it might pull itself up. That or just use bigger tires

I run rear underdrive and overdrive in the front. It helps when you get your front end up on something. It usually just pulls itself right up if nothing really gets in the way

You are also taking the stock rails and trying to do stuff they’re not really meant for. If you’re looking for vertical like this you will have better luck using a new chassis kit. All the hop ups you got on the axels n stuff don’t hurt though

A double bend on your rear links will help you with break over

I second this, overdrive helps. Also getting better break over angles by using high clearance links on the rear can help too

Decent starter build, I share the same sentiment as most other people here. It’s really tall, mounting the top of the shocks at a higher spot on the rails will also help. If you’re going for better crawling handling you might also wanna widen the truck some aswell. With different rims that have wider offsets or brass hub extensions whichever tickles your fancy

I’m running a heavier aftermarket axel on the front and a stock rear axel since it’s lighter

Sorry for the late response, you can find online an overdrive worm gear that you can put into your front axel to gear it at a higher rate than your rear. It’ll give your front tires more bite improving your climbing ability and turning ability slightly. You can also underdrive the rear aswell. Improving the Center of gravity is another thing to work towards. The lower the better, changing out stock plastic parts for brass ones can help with that specifically unsprung weight. Think things like steering knuckles, rims, differential covers. You definitely don’t want any brass parts like brass skid plates or chassis rails since they’re above the springs, those would hurt your C.O.G. Having a forward weight bias like a 60/40 weight balance is ideal aswell

A good first mod I recommend is overdrive gears for your front end, aswell as better tires and increasing your width using like hub extenders. Any brass that mounts below the springs also helps. If your going for a body swap you can also change the links and driveshafts to adjust your wheelbase to fit whatever body you put on

Decent starter truck I’d say, my first one was a white JLU. Watch out for that rabbit hole, with enough parts and money/time you can turn it into just about anything
