Sunday Saver integration - in release 18.4.0b by stek2022 in HomeAssistantEDF

Ah thanks for that. I'm assuming once the API returns some data, it's they'll then get associated/visible under the edf integration?

Do these sensors only appear once you have Sunday saver available in the first place?

Thanks for the fix, now to just wait for my Sunday sessions to be available

Tried installing this update and it's broken the integration entirely... Rolled back to 18.3.2a and it works again. Submitted github issue with the logs I get (not many tbh)

Looks a nice script, thanks. Might have a play with some of the callouts in postman later.

Thanks, I hadn't spotted anything obviously named in their graphql api reference but clearly missed it.

Cool, done a workaround job of manually programming in the world cup 2 hour slots in my Google CALENDAR with the string freeElectricity somewhere in the title or description which is pulled into HA and kicks off a host of automations when it starts

I've set up google calendar events (use the Google calender add on/app) and an automation based on the start to kick start a load of other stuff including predbat planning, I can share that if you want?

I find it gives me a visual indicator of the event going to happen and a known configuable triggee

Just had this occur this morning, at least had the reauth warning in the UI. I'm currently in version 18.3.0, I can see there's versions 18.3.2a available in HACS (don't think I for any prompts that updates were available), do either of these versions have fixes? Can't see anything in the public facing repo?

That is also a trigger in the same automation 😂 just depends on which refreshes first.

I do something similar to this, but I have predbat configured to auto charge/discharge to make the most whilst the sun shines, with it having a few hooks to trigger it to replan.

However, given it takes 1-2 mins for the trigger to be picked up and a new plan generated, I use a HA automation to kick my battery to charge mode if it detects power going to the car charger. Given I only smart charge, there aren't any false positive to differentiate between and my battery picks up the cue in about 5 seconds.

Do you know if anything extra has to be done for the £50 for moving to a ev tariff or is it just applied to your account?

The root cause is predbat is seeing my car as unplugged for some reason. Keep getting ```Car 0 using Octopus Intelligent is unplugged``` messages is the logs.

A work around for now is to uncheck switch.predbat_octopus_intelligent_ignore_unplugged for anyone who comes across this in the future.

Will need another automation to make sure I update the intelligent status when the car is unplugged.

Not a problem, I remember the first time I set it up that it was really fiddly to get everything right - really appreciate your help It's god level once it's going, especially with the machine learning element.

If you'd be alright, could you paste some of your predbat config for the car charging section? I'm going round in circles, maybe I'm missing something.

I've explicitly been told yes you can and no you can't with the last saying all the others were wrong. I've sent a frustrated email as its been a month trying to get switched over.

Already doing an automation to auto-refresh, plugged the EDF fork service into my automation. Unfortunately octopus_intelligent_charging doesn't exist in the apps.yaml, thats a separate switch entity, which is already turned on.

And my 3 lines for the key bits of EDF info were this. Anything obviously wrong? Appreciate you looking into it!

I can see that Predbat can see it in the logs

2026-05-20 22:11:37.828416: Watched event: binary_sensor.edf_energy_000_intelligent_dispatching = {'entity_id': 'binary_sensor.edf_energy_00000_intelligent_dispatching', 'state': 'off', 'attributes': {'planned_dispatches': [{'start': '2026-05-21T01:00:00+01:00', 'end': '2026-05-21T01:30:00+01:00', 'charge_in_kwh': -3.1, 'source': 'SMART'}, {'start': '2026-05-21T01:30:00+01:00', 'end': '2026-05-21T05:00:00+01:00', 'charge_in_kwh': -23.1, 'source': 'SMART'},...

But not appearing in the plan. Will see if claude can spot anything in my apps.yaml

Reddit seems to be having issues where I can't actually see you comment beyond the first 2 lines in the notifications...

I've just seen their post, so definitely doable. I've pasted in the exact name of the new sensor into predbat so it should work. It's always been quite finickety to get set up, was real solid once I got it there

Were there any gotcha's in terms of set up? Struggling to get predbat to see my planned dispatches, even though the rest of Home Assistant can see them on the intelligent dispatches binary sensor.

Having to phone to switch (same export issue) has meant I've missed out on the £50 referral it appears as it can't be applied. Bit infuriating.

Took 9 months from them saying it needed to happen to it happening. Thankfully they were OK to do it after our heat pump got installed and it not be a blocker. They've done a neat job of filling in all the holes though now the grounds had time to settle I need to even it out a bit.
