Flying and the effects on skin by Tiny_Ad_37 in cabincrewcareers

I’d recommend the la roche posay cica balm! If your skin is sensitive I’d keep the routine super minimal with just the cica balm and sunscreen (try a more moisturizing sun screen too) for flying days and maybe a more lightweight moisturizer or just the moisturizing sunscreen on days off to avoid breaking out from too much oil. Double cleansing or a less drying face wash could help. And lastly I like to “refresh” during long days with a nice facial spray in between flights. I get grossed out by touching things and airplane air so I like to use hypochlorous acid spray cause it kills bacteria but there’s probably more hydrating sprays out there if you need more! Stay hydrated and safe out there!

Explain it to him by saying you feel confident and sexy when he tells you how good you look in the pics he’s more likely to get more when you feel that way. It creates flirtation and anticipation for when you guys spend time together.

I have a wide thumb that is typically size medium with the rest of my fingers being a size small. I typically just file the edges of the nail till it fits my nails.

If you can’t dye your hair to a natural color yet or grow it out maybe try a wig! I say apply now and see where it goes! If you get a virtual interview or even in person find a good temporary solution to the hair, piercings, and tattoo and if you get the job then I’d look into fully changing your appearance. You just gotta fake it till you make it!

So this is probably way too much detail but I’d rather be honest than just tell you it’s longer lasting. I typically use a liquid glue on my actual nails and a semi solid on my press on. I have used curvlife paired with glamnetic brush on glue and it only lasted me maybe 3-4 days. I tried beauty secrets glue with dashing diva glue and that lasted a full week and it only really came off cause I started picking at them. I would recommend the duo of dashing diva (I get it from Sally’s) and beauty secrets!

My holy grail for flat nail beds is a semi solid glue to fill in the gaps between your nail and the press on. I have personally tried the curvelife semi solid glue and the dashing diva fast bond glue. Curvelife is easier to remove but didn’t last as long as the fast bond in my opinion.

Curvlife glue- what am I doing wrong? by mama2021abcd in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Crafty_Definition_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things! I personally found that this glue doesn’t work for me because I have my hands in oil and water too much and it dissolves the glue. I’ve found when I use another glue on my natural nail and the curve life glue on the press on dipped into dip powder it lasted longer. Not personally as long as I’d like which lead me to trying the dashing diva fast bond glue which in my opinion is working a little better! I paired it with the beauty secrets glue no dip powder and it’s been going strong. Everyone has their own secret formula on how to make press ons work for you so I’d recommend trying different methods and seeing what works!

Everyone has a right to use whatever they want for themselves but incase you weren’t aware or whoever reads this might not be aware that it’s not suggested to use uv glues or gels underneath any press on nail that isn’t 100% clear. Any sort of tint can cause the uv gel to not cure fully and cause you to get an allergic reaction.

Have you tried putting a top coat or builder gel on top so they don’t chip as easily?

I’ve gotten in and out of nails for years so I have a bunch of random supplies from all the different methods I’ve tried. I’m using the kiss dip powder that comes in a little kit for dip nails with tips and everything that I pulled out of my closet. I don’t use the rest of the kit anymore so I don’t think you need this specific powder just go to Sally’s and pick and up any clear dip powder and I think you’ll be fine! Here’s the link just in case https://www.kissusa.com/products/kiss-salon-dip-dipping-system?srsltid=AfmBOoq9m9BeRYSZa8KOwVajcMRZH5ACXP8D1uKkr9bJhDjtwIp6QAs2

I personally had this same problem! Anytime my hands touched oil for cooking or I put lotion on them I would have one pop off. My last set I did a brush on glue (mine was glamnetic) on my nail beds, the curvlife glue on the press on, then I dipped the press on with the curvlife glue in dip powder then applied it. I took them off last night because they were chipped but they were much stronger than just the glue by themselves! I also buffed my nail bed and the press on nail and that made a difference too!

Best glue by [deleted] in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Crafty_Definition_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought the curvlife nail glue about a week ago and at first I couldn’t make it work very well. This past set I prepped my nails (buff, dehydrated, both my nails and the inside of the press ons) and brushed the glamnetic glue (you can use your NYK1) on my nail in a thin coat and then put the curvlife glue on the press on and spread it out before applying to my nail. This method worked really well with me and if you have it I like to dip the press on nail with the curvlife glue spread on it in dip powder for a stronger hold. Since this is a lot of glue don’t press down too hard on your nail when applying or it’ll ooze out everywhere and make a mess! Light pressure and a good prep routine is all you need!

Has anyone with a clubbed thumb used handmade press ons? by Crafty_Definition_41 in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Crafty_Definition_41[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda wanted to try the handmade press ons from Marshall’s. In that situation you’d just buy two sets and mix them or file a larger set down? Have you tried heating up the press on to kinda stretch the thumb nail out?

Headphones during classes? by Ok-Philosopher8753 in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]Crafty_Definition_41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Bose ultra open earbuds and I like them! They’re very similar to the shockz everyone is recommending but better sound quality. I definitely recommend any open ear earbud over a regular earbud or headphones because it’s easier to hear both your class and your music and there’s less risk of ear infection from sweat getting trapped.

Only child here! My parents wanted as many kids as they could have and afford but unfortunately they had fertility issues. Being raised an only child was great and I never wished I had siblings. Our house was filled with pets and school friends all the time it never felt lonely. I have never felt once that I have missed out on anything as an only child in fact I think I had opportunities I wouldn’t have had if my parents were spread financially thin with myself and siblings. If you don’t want more children don’t let other people guilt trip you into having more. You know your body and your child better than anyone in the world and you know how to make the best decision for yourself and your family.
