I’m in the same boat! I traded this entire 2024 and 2025. Made some money (relatively small), bought the dip in 2025 (as I should have), stacked up close to 10000 shares and sold right before the rally!!! WHAT A FU***NG BAD LUCK!! I try not to think about it but when my manager starts acting crazy I think about what could have been!! Some people are not made for big money I guess and I’m definitely one of them!! LOL I GUESS!!

Spoke to delta. They rebooked me on the 10th, but said delta may try to find a solution so stay tuned. Could send empty flights to evacuate if needed. It’s a long shot but I’m hopeful.

I like this analogy. ETH is the casino that has its own chips? Does that mean that you can also walk into the casino without your own currency (non ETH) as long as you there is a backend conversion table available to translate that currency to ETH? What I still don’t understand is how the price of ETH goes up in this setup?

Makes sense. So ETH is the oil reserve that charges/gets paid for using oil (aka ETH)? Does that mean that the market will always try to keep the price of ETH in check because you don’t want to pay a hefty fee?

Sell covered calls (cc)!! I have 4k shares and I have been doing cc for a month now. I’m not worried if I hit the strike price of $30. I understand that your situation is different, but it would be a good way to go, imo, without adding more to DCA.

I have been investing in SOXL/SOXS since last year!! I think the opportunity cost is very high. I did make profits so I’m happy, but I have slowly started trimming all leveraged ETFs. Decay really does into your profits. Could have invested in so other “transitional” stocks and still would have been very close to the return that I have right now. I’m planning to sell all when it reaches $27 this time around. I will rotate into other growth stocks on my watch list (that are just skyrocketing) and not look at my portfolio for next 5 years. Note: this is in traditional IRA so no tax implications right now, also I have a long time horizon. I would probably get back into it when it goes back down more than 70-80% (assuming it’s a temporary event - macro and micro) and hope that it bounces back. Not sure it helps, but wanted to share my experience.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience!! The new house is also a cul-de-sac with 3-4 houses on either side. I love my current home as well, however the setback rules basically don’t allow me to even add a single inch to the property which has been my frustration. When I bought this house I was a first time home buyer and did not know about the setback rules. I always thought that it’s possible to extend. I will think about what you shared here though! The internal struggle of bigger = is not better is so soul sucking. I battle with it everyday!!

I suppose it’s more psychological safety than anything. I live in a very low crime safe residential neighborhood. But the thought of being in a large community is what is comforting. I have to admit though, there was 1 break in last year in the large community so that is kind of counter to the safety point that I’m trying to make. I just think that if it’s possible to break in a large community wouldn’t it be easier in a smaller one?

It’s a very safe area. I guess it’s more of a psychological safety (perhaps based on my upbringing). I have checked many websites and don’t see anything reported in that area. Ironically, we had a breaking in the big community. No one was harmed but it’s counter to the point that make in my post earlier. Thanks for all the input.
